youreyes:
what is this fundamental difference?

Greece hardly has resources. Resources/energy is key to stabilizing a country during hardships.
Well if you were a creditor and owed 16 trillion dollars (+) what would happen if you didn't get your money? [yes Nations rely on USA to service it's debt for many reasons]
If you were an organization that required USA spending/investing what would happen?

Conflated:
If you were running an orphanage in Northern Thailand with 200(+) kids and suddenly your funds dried up what would happen?

I don't really know but I can reckon on it being far worse than anticipated. The great depression of the 1900's would be a "cake walk" compared, so to speak
Also the massive cost of maintaining the administrative integrity of a Nuclear Armed power such as the USA is huge... and I wonder what would happen to that integrity.

I know...actually this 16 trillion dollar debt US has accumulated does not have to end with war. But US hates being not the first country in the world. Me, I want people to focus on unilateral cooperative business across the world. US has been ties to world economy but the world will survive without it neverthless.

LOL, that is bull shit. You have a terminal case of penis envy. How has the US harmed you? It hasn't. If you want to make Mother Russia a world power, stop brutalizing and stealing from your neighbors. Start obeying international law. Eliminate the corruption in your government. Bring back democracy and a free press. Instead of worrying about the biggest kid on the block, you need to put on your big boy pants and fix your glaring problems. As long as you don't man up Russia will always be third rate country that nobody wants to play with.

And if Mother Russia is so great, why are you in the US? Russia had a chance to become a modern responsible country. The West gave Russia membership in the G7 and The World Trade Organization, They gave Russia the Soviet Union's former seat on the Security Council. The only thin Russia was denied is NATO membership.

If Russia wants respect, it needs to earn it. If it wants to be a powerful country, it needs to earn it rather than stealing from dissidents and neighbors. Mother Russia needs to stop acting like a rogue state, honor it's agreements, and obey international law. Russia does have a rich history, but it is not alone, many countries have rich histories. And whenever Putin engages in unethical behaviors, he posses on that Nobel Russian history. You should be angry, but not at the US. You should be angry with the man who is making Mother Russia a pariah state.

ah the twitter blogger pushing "democratic agendas" and complaining about his broken fingers taking retribution for his propaganda. He should have left with McDonalds franchise too, the guy represents Obama's destructive cold war politics to its extremes. He belongs in the same dinosaur museum that Dick Chaney, Bush Junior, and others belong tto.

Have you seen a psychiatrist recently?

Whilst I agree in principle that economic strength needs to be shared globally more, I feel you are being a little idealistic to think it will happen any time soon... also chronically under-estimating just what would happen to the world if the USA went belly up.

Not being an economist, this is of course, a "wild guess"
That being "said"(keyboarded in actually)

As long as U.S. debt is denominated in US dollars, the USA will never default.
The fed will just print more dollars and let inflation run wild for awhile, then we will pay down the debt in dollars that are worth less compared to commodities.
If you look at our debt in terms of gdp, we ain't out of the norm.

That is mostly true but printing more dollars doesn't always equate to inflation because the demand for dollars is such that the Federal Reserve needs to expand the money supply in order to maintain price stability. Two, supply constraints are required for inflation to exist, which is not now the case. Three, 5 trillion of the US debt is money the US government owes to itself. So it really is not debt. It is an accounting artifact, a result of fund accounting.

I agree .. yes a wild guess but based on what happened here in Australia the last little hic up the USA had a few years back... one can only speculate ....and we rode it out really well so they say...

, writes a UK/US newspaper. Suuuuuure.

And Russian leaders agree. Ukraine has 10 uniformed Russian officers, including at least one senior officer. Ukraine says these officers were fighting with Putin's mercenaries in Ukraine. Russia claims their soldiers got lost. One would think a senior Russian officer could read a map. :)

one would think evidence is needed to support a claim.

First the had the plane shootdown blamed on Russia. The investigation has gone all silent now, thanks to Netherlands.
Now they have Russian military bein caught in Ukraine.

where is the proof?

Same **it, different day.

LOL, where is the proof? Open your eyes and you just might see it. As long as you refuse to see, you will never see it.

see what? propaganda made up for NATO to be financed and US to sell its weapons and get resources? You open YOUREYES. It is easy to see that while you refer to rebels as "Putin's army" this is the same name game the Americans have been playing for a long time, whoever supports the American goals are the "people demanding democracy and freedom" like the Maidan and whoever do not support American goals is the "rebels/terrorists". USA is heading to an economic collapse and no war is going to save it.

Is impossible that Comrade Putin is aggressing brothers in Ukraine. He go to Paul McCartney concert in Moscow and make song together, "Imagine all of people, live for today!" CIA tries make him look like a monster but is all lies.

Who left the area because it was not safe, due to separatist fighting.

Neat, isn't it? Separatists shoot down airplane. Separatists continue fighting. Investigators give up because they don't want to be shot. Separatists then claim "well, if they don't want to investigate, no proof it was us, eh?"
Now they have Russian military being caught in Ukraine. Where is the proof?
===============
Today, Ukraine released video footage of what it said were 10 captured Russian soldiers. The men, under interrogation, identified themselves as Russian soldiers captured on Ukrainian territory. They gave their names and military serial numbers and said they had been sent to Ukraine by their superiors after initially being told they were going on a training exercise.

Yeah no shit, us and the rest of the world.

US "economic collapse" = "Awww shucks, this week I can only afford to have four Russians washing my car instead of five!"

Besides, I don't get why the US has been supposedly facing imminent doomsday for the last 100 years when its economy is still growing, and there's plenty of room to cut wasteful spending or increase taxes to pay off debts. Yeah, I guess if every American just suddenly stops going to work tomorrow, there'd be an economic collapse and Russia wouldn't look as much like an angry midget.

Because "doomsday" "collapse" and "catastrophe" sells papers.
