no putin won't use nukes. their are a handful of countries that would use them russia isn't one of them. putin isn't crazy. a warmonger yes a tyrant yes but still a sane man. remember russians pulled us back from nuclear annhilation just as much as american when mistakes happened during the cold war. putin is a cold blooded snake who'd shiv anyone if the gain was good enough but he knows the score where nukes are concerned.

Except, virtually all of that isn't true, and I noticed you didn't include Soviet Cold War transgressions. And I didn't see where the US annexed any foreign land as Russia has most recently done. The US did invade Iraq twice, each time as part of an international coalition and under UN AUTHORIZATION, It's not like this is new news to you.
And Russia isn't protecting it's borders. It's taking its neighbors lands by force of arms. Russia can protect its borders. No one has said otherwise. You my friend are being deceitful. But Mother Russia cannot break international law. It cannot steal from or menace its neighbors as it did in Georgia and now Ukraine. That is the bottom line.
Actually, Kennedy was president then. Mother Russia (i.e. Soviet Union) didn't have nuclear weapons when Truman was POTUS. The Soviets had to steal the technology first.
Soviets also needed a delivery system as they didn't have long range bombers. So they copied the American B29.
