It was a democratic vote by other members. James was considered very fair an unbiased, and still upholds that high standard.

Porfiry is the owner and yes he pays for the site himself. All moderators have the full confidence of Porfiry otherwise they get fired.

Maybe if you changed the address, nobody could find the forum and you wouldn't have to post anything.

I cant see a problem with the moderation here, offensive posts are deleted which is probably most important in a forum where things can get heated, he actually takes an interest in whats posted aswell and seems more active than other mods, i'd say he's doing a damn fine job.
 
I personally like you, as our moderator for this forum, but I do think, your somtimes not strict enough, considering the insults you receive.
Goofyfish would ban them for less, but your not goofy, your much nicer.

Moderation has achieved ~92% satisfaction. IMO, thats a fantastic number.
 
will someone please draw their attention to the "christians are hypocrites" thread?
i am not a christian, but alot of horrendous things are being said, on both sides of the discussion.
 
Honestly, I think lockdown is for animals and I find it sad that there is so much name-calling and useless bs on these threads.

It must obviously hard to moderate the threads, because sometimes the most vitriolic offenders are friends just screwing around with each other, and that seems innocent enough.

My opinion - don't blame the moderator, blame the participants. (I see a pattern in my thinking here)

Dear James....i voted 'about right', but that is an understatement. if you were to ask me onthe scale of 1-10 how i rate your moderation, and most of the moderation at this site i would have to say 11....YES THAT good

i speak from experience. i have been thrown off many forums for just speaking the truth. i wont name names, but there have been usually moderators that are so full of themselves they feel they have to jump in at ANY form of what thy believe is
disorder, but what that DOEs is stifle freedom. ANd it ctreates a climate of fear. people start wnating not to experiment, soeak their minds, and it all goes flat. IF the owner of the site is also of the same mind then it is-in my experience-a DEAD site

I have raved about here to several other forums i am with, so as to encourage the same form of non-intervention.
what this place proves is the value of anarchy--meaning in its original term 'no leaders' and how communities self-regulate temselves without unneccessary heavy policing

shit. haivng said this, i ope i haven't tempted fate and it goes downhill...hehe. but i REALLY am VERY impressed so far.
