The saddest part about this is that Israel will once again get away with killing innocents. they got away with it every time they kill palestinians, the got away with it with the liberty and they will get away with it this time.

Very well, then - and since you insist on ad hominem despite my efforts to keep the debate a debate: You stay on no facts that have any bearing. You deal only in unsubstantiated sweeping accusations. You have yet to post so much as a single link to support anything you have claimed. I - and others - have illustrated several factors that strongly suggest that the situation was a set-up. Neither you nor Bells choose to address those factors, instead railing about "songs and clapping", as though an incredibly, viciously anti-Semitic war chant were (as I've said) a Boy Scout meeting; an event recorded by no less than al Jazeera. another thing that needs to be mentioned that eletric, geoff, and the other Israel apoligists need to remember( not counting the jewish supporters of Israel because quite frankly their a lost cause and can't emotionally seperate what they want Israel to be and wish the fact we to what Israel actually is and what the facts actually are) is that ISrael has a proven track record of violently attacking peaceful protest. hell they just did to a protest of their brutal actions against the flotilla in one case shooting a tear gas cannister into the face of a 20 year old woman who sadly has lost an eye because of Israel's brutrality and inability to deal with protest in an adult and nonviolent manner. there is a very real possiblilty that when the attack started the people felt that immeindly attack was the only way to minamize deaths amung them.
I think the funniest part of that video was how they referred to them as "NAVY SEALS"
If that's what you see, then maybe you need to get your eyes checked... then again, I doubt you even saw the video because you replied so quickly to it.
Here, let me spell it out for you since you seem to have a difficult time with comprehension. I know, it can be challenging sometimes, but I'm here to help.
1: The Israeli's warned them multiple times (that means they called ahead of time to RSVP for the party. Everybody knew they were a-comin'.) that if they did not divert their ship from their current course directly to Gaza, and instead to an Israeli port, they would be met with action.
2: When the flotilla ignored these warnings (in other words it went in one ear and out the other just like all the lessons your teacher was trying to pass onto you while you chewed bubble gum and stared at the cute blonde sitting in front of you) the Israelis held their end of the promise.
3: When the Israeli military showed up, they boarded via Helicopter and via boarding craft. They were armed with paint ball guns, and a pistol just in case things got hairy (In other words, the main weapon they went onto the ship with wasn't even lethal... the worst they could do would be to shoot a yellow paint-ball on your crotch and laugh at you for peeing your pants while you lay in the fetal position on the ground crying)
4: BEFORE THEY EVEN GOT ON BOARD (in other words, before they even stepped foot on the ship) the people on the ship were throwing stun grenades and fire-bombs into the boarding craft, and they ALREADY had steel pipes taken from their fittings in hand ready to attack. (They were prepared)
5: When they touched down on deck from the helicopters, they were immediately swarmed by violent protesters (They got ganked) pulled from their ropes, thrown down onto the deck, and were beaten by people wielding aforementioned steel pipes. Some of them were even stabbed and slashed with knives and improvised stabbing tools. (They got shanked too)
6: When the Israeli soldiers realized that it was a trap (insert Admiral Ackbar here) and that their paint ball guns weren't going to cut it, they pulled out their pistols (which any soldier will tell you is NOT the first weapon they would choose to use if they ever found themselves in a hostile environment) and, in self defense, shot their assailants.
7: With their Al-Jazeera goons already on board, the flotilla was ready to cook up a sensationalist story to make it seem like they were attacked in the dead of night and the Israeli's came on board guns-ablazin' aiming for women and children first. (They basically lied is what I'm trying to tell you) This way they can get international pressure on Israel to lift the blockade for the sake of peace-loving hippies everywhere... the irony of this is that they probably only want the blockade lifted so they can smuggle in anything they want to use against Israel. (So then 6 months from now people like me can say "I told you so" when you hear stories about Israeli's getting killed by rockets from Gaza)

How about they allow fresh meat? What about cement to rebuild the homes that Israel bombed? This is what you and several others cannot quite understand about the blockade.
What about houseplants? They are also banned? Can you tell me how houseplants pose a danger to Israel? A4 paper? I mean I guess they could make paper planes out of them and fly them into Israel..
This is the reality of the blockade.
I mean, what do you say to the parents of that 20month old baby Buffalo? This is what you are supporting and laughing at by pointing out images that some fresh fruit and vegetables get through. Great! But the fate of that 20 month old baby is the crux of the problem with the blockade.
If Israel decides on a whim to stop letting fuel in, then Gazan's have no fuel. If they decide to stop letting fresh fruit and vegetables in, then they have no fresh fruit and vegetables. The Israelis control every single aspect of the Gazan's diets.. Down to virtually how much rice and flour they are allowed to have access to. Even down to whether a 20 month old baby dies or lives in the hospital.
It's nice to be powerful, isn't it? It's nice to be the only country in the ME to have nuclear weapons and then whine that peace activists on an aid ship in international waters defended their ships with some iron pipes and a sling shot and marbles. I mean I can see how that justifies shooting journalists in the back of the head.. can't you?
So yeah, post those images and tell yourself that the blockade is justified.
because given Israel history they didn't. they made the right choice. tell me if you see armed people coming toward you who have a history of attacking and killing unarmed people are you going to A. just sit their and hope they for once don't use violence or B. take proactive measures to come out of it alive.
Those proactive measures to come out of it alive are more likely to get them killed. Do you think that if they were successful in killing all of the Israeli soldiers, the Israeli military wouldn't do something about it?
Think of it this way; if I were bringing aid to Cuba from the United States, and I was hailed to stop by a U.S. Coast Guard ship, and I ignored it... they would probably send over a boarding party. Now suppose I stabbed, or beat the boarding party as soon as they touched down (single handedly of course, I'm just that awesome) what do you think would happen to me? Should I be surprised if I get shot, or subdued in a violent way by the Coast Guard?
Israel has boarded such ships in the past and no one got hurt. In your scenario, unless I possessed automatic weapons and maybe a cannon, the choice is A. These people knew the situation, don't pretend they mistook Israeli commandos for pirates.
One problem with you analogy the US coast guard doesn't have the reputation of attacking unarmed people the Israeli military does.
According to the news, the head injuries on one journalist show that he was shot from the top of the ship ie from helicopters. I think under such circumstances, its not proactive to defend themselves when the commandos rappel down.

Well he's lucky he didn't get killed. When you attack armed men upon boarding and there is an armed guy in a helicopter he is going to shoot from the air. If he didn't want to take any risks then he shouldn't have been there:shrug:
