These are the same people that have pulled the same died child out of multiple wreckage sites and have dead bodies miraculously get back up and back on to funeral possessions. Besides ~1000 died out of 1.5 million in nearly a month of conflict is nothing, Japan managed to kill between 150-300k in 3 months and they solider weren't even ordered to do it! the germans managed to gun down the entire male population of a town in hours (~1300) the Germans managed to kill ~11 million people systematically in a 10-15 year period, mind you only 5-6 million were Jews because no one cares about the poles, russians, gypsies, political deserters, criples, homesexuals, etc, anyways the israelis have done operations like this many times before and have been claimed of causing genocide, yet some how their kill right is nothing like a genocide, and somehow the Palestinians manage a massively positive population growth rate, they claim to be under genocidal oppresion yet they manage to find the food and time to breed like rabbits, no at best this is a apartheid (which is a very bad thing, but treated as it is and the problem will may get solved: don't call a cow a chicken and expect you to be successful slaughtering it like a chicken) and the attacks are simply attempts by the Israelis to root out terrorism and cut off another of the hydras heads.

Amazing, you just want to kill more, how disturbing. You are still justifying the killings. I can't believe it, not a single word of condemnation, you are still trying to tell us that Israelis should kill more because they are not doing a good job and their ratio is not good enough, you are simply saying that they should start killing more because Japan did it, why can't they do it?:(

I never said how many to kill, rather I just accurately classifying these events, unlike you. Their no justification, Israeli killing "terrorist" and civilians get in the way be it hamas or israel doing (probably both), not genocide, just war, which is always bad but strangely allowed under international law cause you know humans are apes.

When you become silent and do not condemn the killings of innocents you are automatically supporting it. I am talking in general. I don't want innocent israelis and jewish people to suffer by hamas but the magnitude of atrocities against the people living in already starving conditions is not war, it is a crime, it is a genocide. Don't call it a war please, in war people don't bring in sandwiches and drinks and enjoy the show from a distance while the war planes from above drop 2000lb bombs on civilians. When did I justify the killing of innocent? I'm just saying it not genocide, rather casualties of war, I never stated the morality of either as being acceptable, rather I'm just asking for appropriate classification. One of the problems of the Israel-Palestine issue is exaggeration of both sides, keeping it like it is can be more appealing to the moderates and getting people to rally behind your position rather then dividing sides.

With the explosive current events in Gaza, the world needs to understand the roots of this eternal conflict, otherwise we are all kidding ourselves with hopes of peace.

For decades, Arabs had demanded that Israel end the "occupation," and in 2005, Israel did so, disengaging unilaterally from Gaza. With their demands met, there was no ‘cycle of violence’ to respond to, no further justification for anything other than peace and prosperity. With its central location and beautiful beaches on the East Mediteranean, a peaceful and prosperous Gaza could have become another Hong Kong; a shining trade and commerce center. But instead of choosing peace, the Palestinians chose Islamic jihad. They rolled their rocket launchers to the border and started bombing Israeli civilians.

Understanding the reasons why the Palestinians chose violence over peace requires connecting the dots from the behavior of Muslim states back to the laws of Islam: Sharia. Mainstream Sharia books define Jihad as: "to war against non-Muslims to establish the religion." (Shafi’i Sharia o9.0). Jihad is not just the duty of the individual Muslim, but it is also the main duty of the Muslim head of State (the Calipha):

"A Muslim calipha is entrusted to take his people into war and command offensive and aggressive Jihad. He must organize Jihad against any non-Muslim government, which prevents Muslim da’wah (meaning preaching and spreading Islam) from entering its land." (Shafii Law o25.0 to o25.9).

One of Islam’s eminent 20th century scholars, Sheikh Maolana Maududi said:

"Islam wishes to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam regardless of the country or the nation which rules it. The purpose of Islam is to set up a state on the basis of its own ideology and program … the objective of Islamic jihad is to eliminate the rule of an un-Islamic system and establish instead an Islamic system of state rule. Islam does not intend to confine this revolution to a single state or a few countries; the aim of Islam is to bring about a universal revolution."

This is the real basis of the Arab/Israeli conflict: not a conflict over land or occupation, but a divine obligation to destroy neighboring (non-Muslim) Israel, where Jews are no longer dhimmis but are free to rule themselves. Some Muslims tell me that they don’t believe in Sharia and question why am I making a big deal about it. My answer is that Sharia is the law of the land in 54 Muslim countries and many Muslim groups are demanding Sharia in the West. In 1990, 45 Muslim countries signed the Cairo Human Rights Declaration which stated that Sharia has supremacy over the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
