No, I am very aware that I live on planet earth with others. Never said I was different. I just happen to disagree that my watching porn causes someone to commit a crime. Is that so bad? To have a different opinion than you?

What about the generally accepted perception that human beings are objects to be used, or certain aspects of them used? That is engrained in society in so many ways. It's very well accepted, apparently by you and most other people. I mean sure, some of us make exceptions for particular people like close friends and family (many do not). You don't think that accepted and engrained mentality affects people? Causes them to commit some cold blooded acts. Just because you don't take it that far in your own little world doesn't mean you're not a part. If you accept that mentality as correct then you shouldn't be surprised about the way people are treated in this world.
First of all, you're assuming a lot in the above. You are assuming that all your friends are going to say "Oh, swell idea, I've got nothing else to do today, why not kill a cat?" I gotta tell ya, the friends I hang out with....If I so much suggested doing such a whacked out thing, they'd look at me like I was insane and I guarantee they would not join in. I believe that if someone was influenced to join in with such a suggestion they'd have to be a few french fries short of a happy meal to begin with.

Ok, the majority of the time certain aspects of people are used to make money. A profit that is. You're aware of how a lot of companies/ceo's don't give a shit about the employees and how if it weren't for unions and labor laws they would take it to what we consider an extreme?
But you are assuming that all Companies/ceo's don't give a shit. Bill Gates has donated not millions but BILLIONS of dollars. I agree some definitely will do that but you are putting the good guys or gals and lumping them in with the ones who let greed take over their life. You are trying to shove everyone in to a mold and say that everyone would react the same. Not fair as I know you hate being shoved into the "christian churchgoer" box.
It's very hard to think of an aspect of our lives that isn't determined by greed. Wtf is gates doing with billions of dollars in the first place? Do you realize that without greed and without sin we wouldn't need money? Think about that for a minute. In a perfect world no one would own anything, and everyone would share, and things would be done, and things would be created for their intrinsic value alone, and for the greater good, not for a fucking profit. Now how far off the mark are we exactly? When people are losing their homes left and right, losing their jobs left and right, people living on the street while the rest of us walk on by. People starve to death in this world at the same time others are spending $400 on dinner for 2 and throwing away their leftovers. THAT IS NORMAL EVERY DAY HUMANITY. You know damn well that the norm in our society is that money is more important than people. What does that say about people? What does that say TO people?
I agree with you that greed can get out of hand, but I also believe it isn't a sin to make a profit. Further, Gates is a smart man, that's what he is doing with that kind of money. So the F what? All your rock star boys live high on the hog too. So the F what? As you've stated again and again it is intention that counts. Period.
But seriously, Lori...give the good guy and gal a chance and quit throwing them into this box and saying that just because they have money means they are greedy. It isn't a "sin" to be rich. FFS can't you give anyone credit like Bill Gates and what he does donate? How much have you personally donated this year? I realize you don't make what he does but I bet if you crunch the numbers based off your income and his he has donated more percentage wise. All I can tell you is life is what you make it. Does that mean things are always fair? No. Does that mean that someone will never suffer loss? No. But you can take two different people and if they have two different perspectives it can make a world of difference. One will be able to fight, adapt, learn and move on...the other drowns in their own hopelessness.

Money (the invention and use of) is nothing whatsoever to do with greed or sin. Granted, greed can misuse the concept, but then again when we humans really put our mind to it we can misuse anything... (including ideas on what constitutes a "perfect world").
