When it comes to living forever I would have thought that succeeding is what matters - no matter how hard you try, if you don't do it you've failed.

But the mere fact that I tried equals success right then and there

And also, it means that society does not own me

why aren't there a heck of a lot more people remembering past life after past life after...
And what is supposed to happen to children who don't have this 'awareness'?

Nope: actually living forever is the only measure of success (with that goal in mind).

And also, it means that society does not own me
Oh right.
And you're the only person that wants to live forever?
How does it mean "society doesn't own you"?
Because you have a wacky idea with no practical hope of it ever coming true?
In that case every nutter in the world is not "owned by society".
You're in good company.

Every time someone sincerely tries hard to do something, they succeed

It means that the standards of life (as in, that everyone is '''' supposed '''' to do something) do not apply to me

Not quite correct, otherwise the words "try" and "succeed" would be the same...

Ah, so I was right with the "nutter" comparison.
You have a dream that isn't capable of fulfilment and somehow the "standards of life" (whatever they are) don't apply to you.
You think everyone but you and a rare few don't think that way (their own special dream, something "more" they want out of life)?
Deluded, elitist nonsense.

People like you are the ones that are against change and advancement, right?

Oops, wrong assumption - I'm one of the people that's MAKING the changes and advancement.
But I don't do it by having unrealisable dreams or assuming that "trying" equals "succeeding".

If you don't look far and innovate, what could you achieve? Nothing.

Looking is one thing, but it's always best to look for achievable goals.

But that depends on what ''achievable'' is

For instance, cavemen probably looked towards a new rock that can be turned into a good hunting knife, but to them, going to the moon was ''impossible''

You dont know what it'll be like 100 years from now, our views on what is impossible will certainly change

"Achievable" means "within the current limits of knowledge and technology".
Immortality certainly doesn't fall into that category, especially as all you have is wishful thinking.

It might be ''achievable'' in the future though, that's all that matters. I believe that, in billions of years, Humanity will have harnessed the power of Gods, and I want to be there!:bawl:

I hope you're right.
But I doubt you'll be there... long after your lifetime :D
(And especially mine :bawl:)

Well the universe is just an object pretty much, it exists and like anything can be manipulated
Since it has no will, our will can change it:)

Like a rock. We can do whatever we want with a rock.

But with a puppy, we can try, but it will only cause it pain and it will fight back.

1. You are a manifestation of the universe, i.e., you are it as much as everything else.
2. We can not tell the rock to be lighter than O2 - nature's law.
3. Individual cells of your body are as much alive as a puppy is and they can fight back too.
4. Willing to do something does not change the physical reality before you take any action towards that goal.
5. In your case, you're just wasting our time with your incompetence. Go learn some biology towards your goal.

But I mean that the fact that we have a will, we can want and try and change, means that we are in power over the universe, not the other way around

Therefore, all it takes now is the proper knowledge and equipment to help Humanity achieve it's fullest

You ARE the universe... Did you ever see a grain of sand embedded in a brick manipulate the brick ?
