No they were not being phased out yet, 6 years later and you would be correct.
I guess you and I have different ideas of what being phased out means.

Well? were have you been? hiding under Mamas skirts.

Your age and location, well, that speaks for it's self.
You keep repeating this as if its relevant.

Exactly, I never said they weren't, but you still have a WWII platform that was 20 years old, with out night vision, kicking the Arabs asses.

The Arabs had the latest Soviet Equipment
Your still trying to back your way out of trying to imply the Israelis were using nonmodern tanks against modern tanks. also the b-52 was designed in world war 2 but are the current B-52s WW2 planes no they are modern ones designed for the modern battle field. When a platform was orginally designed matters but no where near as much as when the current version was.

Actually you do, and no you don't.
Right:rolleyes: thats why I've managed to refute your "arguments" constantly. keep on projecting.

Yet again pjdude doesn't do the research:

also the b-52 was designed in world war 2 but are the current B-52s

The contract for the B-52 wasn't let until June, 6, 1946, after WWII, all development took place after that contract was let.

Beginning with the successful contract bid on 5 June 1946, the B-52 went through several design steps; from a straight wing aircraft powered by six turboprop engines to the final prototype YB-52, with eight turbojet engines. The aircraft made its first flight on 15 April 1952 with "Tex" Johnston as pilot.

The final design was a complete departure from anything designed in WWII.

The b-52 was a WW2 era plane. The post WW2 ideas are what shaped it. The idea to replace the b-36 started nov 23 1945. thats ww2 era.

The final design was a complete departure from anything designed in WWII.
go look at the b-36

ps. none of what you brought up refutes my basic point.

pjdude, the contract wasn't let until after WWII, June, 6, 1946, the B-36 wasn't even off the boards yet, so how could the B-52 be considered a replacement, the first prototype XB-36 flew on 8 August 1946.

They hadn't even completed the design drawings of the First Model 462, and hadn't even cut the first aluminum.

The redesign of the Model 462 into the model 464 completely threw out the original straight wing design and Turbo Props, to the final off the boards 464-40.

So it was on 14 February 1951 Boeing was awarded a production contract for 13 B-52As and 17 detachable reconnaissance pods.

So again tell me that the B-52 is a WWII design, it just shows how little you know about the History of the Craft, or the ability to research your subject.

Now look at the differences between the Aircraft, B-36 was old school conventional, the B-52 was a completely new design concept.

Now one simple question, What does this have to do with the Thread?

Other than you junivile pique with me.

Happy Daze in Gaza:

One Hebrew word scrawled on a wall tells the story of the 10 days when young Israeli soldiers became the ostensible prison wardens of five people. The youngest is Suheila Masalha, 55; the eldest is her mother Fatma, who is perhaps 85 or 90 or older. The only man is her brother Mohammed, 65, who is paralyzed and dependent on the women of his family. And there were two more women from the Abu Eida family - Rasmiya, 70, who owns the house, and her sister-in-law Na'ama, 56, who is blind.

"Jail" ("mikhla'a" in Hebrew), wrote the soldiers on the wall of the room where they kept the man and the four women. They did not allow them to use the toilet, but forced them to use all kinds of plastic containers kept in the room, for nine of the days.

And thats not all:

The soldiers kept kosher, judging by the words "meat" and "dairy" scrawled in red on the kitchen cabinets. Maybe someone was kidding around, or maybe someone thought this was going to be their base for several more months, because they also wrote "Kosher for Passover" on one of the cupboards. Also in red.

Like coming home and finding your home violated by criminals.

On January 18, when the forces pulled out, similar sights awaited people whose homes had become military bases in their absence. There were bullet-pocked walls, ripped-up sofas and armchairs, smashed televisions and computers, shards of glass and porcelain dishes and broken wooden thresholds. Clothing was ripped up. And there were mountains of very Israeli garbage - empty tin cans, cardboard boxes, empty bags of potato chips and chocolate, and full bags of sugar and raspberry-flavored drinking powder. Everything was kosher for Passover under the supervision of the Chief Rabbinate. And there were Hebrew newspapers, including the January 9 issue of the army magazine Bamahane.

Such pious little shits.

In the midst of all of this were plastic bottles of urine and many closed bags - in some houses, olive-colored ones - of excrement. People assumed that the commanders stayed there. There are houses where excrement was smeared on the walls, or where dry piles of it were found in corners. In many cases, the smells indicated that soldiers had urinated on piles of clothing or inside a washing machine. In all the houses the toilets were overflowing and clogged, and there was filth all around. When the Abu Eidas returned to house No. 5 in Jabalya, they discovered pots of urine and excrement in the refrigerator.

Imagine if a Muslim had done all this.

They have, and for years at a time.

Gilad Shalit for one,

The Lebanon hostage crisis refers to the systematic kidnapping in Lebanon of 96 foreign hostages of 21 national origins - mostly American and western European - between 1982 and 1992. At least 10 hostages perished in captivity: some murdered, while others died from lack of adequate medical attention to illnesses.

Iran hostage crisis.

nothing your the one who decided to go off on this tangent in stead of dealing with my analogy straight up.

Other than you junivile pique with me.
I have no pique with you. Your the one who randomly insults me not the other way around.

Imagine rocketing your neighbors daily and then expecting them to be nice to you! Amazing. By the way, this is no different than a typical American soldier treats their temporary housing in war zone. Going outside to use the toilet means suiting up and taking the risk of leaving your cover.

Yeah imagine.

So they put their feces on the wall or in the refrigerator and pee in washing machines instead? Interesting.

Yeah its just like moving into an area with the intent to preempt the rights of the resident population and expecting them to be ok with it. Oh my bad that perfectly ok in your book.

They aren't little grandmothers knitting baby socks, they are soldiers.

Ah so shitting in the fridge and pissing on clothes is an attempt to make themselves feel soldierly?

I had no idea that fecal finger painting was the Freudian equivalent of being a warrior.

Yes, but I wouldn't wouldn't call it kidnapping.

If you talking about Samir Kuntar, Mustapha al-Dirani, Marwan Barghouti,

or maybe Dalal Moghraby, Her body was returned,

or maybe Sufian Qandil, or Mahdi Abu Ghazale, who have made peace with Israel.

What are you so upset about? I can as easily bring you an example of soldiers behavior during the war, who treated a house in Gaza with love and care, as if it was a big castle. So some people do nasty things, some don't, nothing new here. Not to mention most Palestinian houses I've seen look and smell like shit anyway.
