A nation is merely a collective of smaller communities that thrive off each other to expand. Before the concept of nations was the concept of Kingdoms. In England there were various Kingdoms before the War of the Roses that set about uniting the kingdoms. Then we went for Scotland, Wales and then Ireland.

I am hoping that todays nations will be tomorrows kingdoms as we all unite for the greater good of humanity.

sometimes the amount of propaganda surrounding us is so great it makes us do the craziest things - like flying to a far-away place, making children-protectors' jobs even harder, putting on a kafiya, jumping in front of a bulldozer

i wonder though, how many Israeli kids were saved because she no longer interrupted children-protectors' jobs?

Rachel Corrie doesn't exist.

Rachel Corrie's thoughts, her ideals and her reasons for standing in front of a bulldozer in disputed territory were her own, and died with her. She may have been a crusader for her beliefs, for her version of what she called justice. She may have been a stupid girl who believed in fairy tales. Anyone who says they knew Rachel Corrie now, after the event is, in all probability, a liar.

Rachel Corrie is now a medallion, a peace badge worn on a helmet. A tattoo. A protest sign written in crayon on white cardboard. Rachel Corrie died under that bulldozer and was reborn as a charicature of who she was, a personality born of the projected desires of those who wish to use her.

Keep your two minutes. I spent significantly longer wondering at her motives without assuming I knew them.
 
Taking side with Palestinians against Israel is not the right way to promote peace.

I believe she was only a victim of Hamas propaganda. She was a brave woman with a great heart. She deserves to rest in peace.

Well maybe if the Palastinians would stop blowing up buses A) They would have a way to get to work and B) Maybe someone would hire them.

Maybe the kids should be getting an education instead of spending all their time throwing rocks. Maybe they would get somewhere if Hamas wasnt encouraging them to blow themselves up.

Then how can you complain when Americans accidentally wound innocent civilians? Either there are nonmilitary targets or there are not. You can’t say that the rules only apply to one side.
