Because most of the Worlds population reject the Will of God as revealed by the Word of God, Jesus.
BTW why after all these years the vast majority of the worlds population still believes in the existance of God? Funny how a small minority of the worlds population "athiests" keep on lamenting the lack of evidance of the existance of God. They should be asking themselves why does the majority of the worlds population believe in the existance of God and they don't?

Clearly you don't get the full extent of god's power and glory.
When you (and I) die, we will be immersed in the lake of fire where our skin and all of it's nerve endings will, through the majesty and mystery of gods greatness, be regenerated on a millisecond-by-millisecond basis, ensuring ongoing, eternal agony.

You have made it very clear that even most Christians don't get Christianity and are not really following God. So what they mean by God is not what you mean by God. Let alone the disdain you hold for Muslims and other non-christian theists who you also think do not get it and obviously mean something else by God than you do.
You have made it very clear that you hold not simply atheists but the vast majority of theists to be very confused about God - at best - and that the vast majority of the world's population is destined for hell. All those who have not accepted Jesus. All those who support war. And so on.

Jesus said that he would come back 3 days after he died. Since "one day for the lord is like thousand years", he won't come back until year 3000.
I am not my memory. Imagine that you would hit your head and forget everything... you would still exist. Your consciousness would still exist. I am not a body or a person, I am [that] I am (consciousness). You had no memory when you were a child, yet you existed.
Persons and bodies constantly change... but I am (YHWH) unchanging and eternal. Because I'm just an empty container. Nothingness or space can't be destroyed...

I shall be doing an article on this later, but for now suffice it to say that popularity of a belief does not equate to truth. There was a time when everyone believed that the world was flat - without question. Needless to say, they were all utterly wrong.
One of the first things to do is to look at the appeal belief in a god would have. What benefits does it bestow upon the believer? These are quite easy to see:
1) A defeat of the end of your existence.
2) A second existence devoid of all the people you don't like.
My article will go into a lot of depth on the subject, but 'god' is a way to defeat that which not one of us can escape or hide from. And while we all put on a brave face and recognise that we will die, two parts of that reside in the dark recesses of our mind, festering..
1) How will I die?
We will never, (generally), know the answer to that until it happens, but it will most likely be a very painful affair. For all you know, you could get ripped to pieces by a pride of zoo-escaped lions or, as seen recently in England, a plane could land in your front room - killing you while you waste time watching pointless soap operas.
2) When will I die?
Another thing we generally wont know until it happens. For all you know you could die within the next 10 minutes - and while that knowledge is rarely openly accepted, it sits inside of you like a cancer.
So man finds ways to ignore it and to face up to it and indeed to challenge it. Many people push it to the limits with extreme sports etc, some wash it away with alcohol and drugs, all will try and focus their minds elsewhere but not one of these things can ultimately provide the benefit that god belief can. Belief in gods is the way to defeat the undefeatable, the way to escape from the one ultimate reality of all of our lives. You will die. It could be horrendously painful and it could be in 10 minutes time. Rub that around in your brain for a moment.

How do you know that one day for the lord is like a thousand years. Tell us how we too can find out.
Next , you are contradicting the bible. If one day is a thousand years as you claim then genesis is wrong or Christians are. Your arithmetic would make the world 7,000 years old, which contradicts what many believe.

Then all of the other times when the specific lifetime of those present in the audience is referenced would be really odd.
Why not a generation of guinea pigs or rat-tailed gerbils ? One might even consider goldfish, tortoises, elephants, zebras and wildebeest.
