Okay. You pick out what you think is most beautiful out of the barrel of beautiful women. That is taking a personal slant and denying that the barrel to begin with still hosts beautiful women even if you didn't personally choose them

Give me examples - I'm out of touch.
No TV or newspapers for a loong time.
And I was never one for following fashion/ celebrity anyway.

Adjani I know because she's an actress and starred in a Luc Besson film (one of my favourite directors).

Name half a dozen or so, and I'll get their pictures from Google before giving my opinion.

There is a very definite bell curve to what most humans consider attractive physical qualities in other humans. And studies have shown that there is a very strong correlation between these qualities, and fertility, and general fitness for procreation. There have also been studies that demonstrated that very young infants prefer to look at what are generally considered attractive faces over those generally considered unattractive. Magazines such as Playboy focus on the peak of the bell curve in order to sell as many magazines as possible. If some outliers have markedly different preferences, it doesn't invalidate the majority.

Yes. Because people who buy Playboy are buying it to look at the beauty of the faces of the women..

The huge boobs and nudity have nothing to do with it at all..

Everything has to do with it. Face tits and ass! If they wanted nice bodies and ugly faces they would buy a cheaper mag like hustler. What makes you think that those men aren't interested in the perfect package? Pretty face and nice bits.:D

What makes you think that men like us can imagine it well enough how perfection looks like...we need evidence...come on now. :cool:

Didn't you read Bells post she is referring to men who buy playboy. Do you think men who buy playboy are using their imagination or working off an image?

Strangely it was only last night that I remarked to a friend that I consider most nude models to be plain if not outright unattractive facially - they only thing they had going for them IMO was a willingness to take their clothes off.

Interesting thing Robert Wilson said about pop soft porn mags:

Playboy models look like they want to make love to you.

Penthouse models look like they'd rather make love to themselves.

Hustler models look like they're submitting to a gynecological exam, that it's a magazine for men whose wives insist on making love in the dark and they never got a good look at female genitals.

I doubt they give a crud about the face. It's more a case of "ooohhh boobs".. And then their minds start to meander off into, well, I am sure we all know what happens after that.

Those men probably are interested in the perfect package. And while they may think the women in the magazine are the perfect package, do the majority agree?

For example, my husband thinks Anna Nicole Smith was hideously ugly and a "beast", yet she appeared in Playboy and therefore, should we assume she was the object of sexual desire for the majority of men? We can ask all the men we know what they think of Anna Nicole Smith and what do you think they will say? I know all the men in my acquaintance agreed with my husband, does that mean they exist outside the norm? Do all men view Anna Nicole Smith as being beautiful and appealing?
