Congratulations America - you got the president you deserve

I was given the option to go read quietly in the school library during music class.
As being part of a religious minority at the time I didn't have to go to assembly and did my homework before classes began with the others like myself in a separate classroom .

Later ,as an older boy I did attend assembly voluntarily but was picked out for unruly behaviour by the "master of ceremonies" (chatting loudly during the hymns) and told to report the the Head's office.

My badge of honour is that I was the one and only pupil considered unworthy of wearing the prefects' tie in "6 th form". (that and having been kicked out of Boy Scouts at age 7 for failing the tidiness test)

I was allocated the oboe at school to learn but my teeth got in the way of the reeds and my lungs weren't Olympic standard.

That's cool, but you have to be 11 to join the BSA.
That is right. It is a long time ago.A slip of a lad and a slip of the old brain cogs.

It was the Boy Cubs.Do you have them in the States?

We also had the Sea Scouts up the road from us at another time and location.

I was in the Cub Scouts, didn't continue on. Joined the USN the day after I graduated from high school. Got paid $8.27/day for killing people.

The people who voted for Trump is what he is saying. They are the ones who deserve what they get for voting for Trump.
No, he said that everyone deserves what they get (with no exceptions). Even limiting it to the election, everyone gets Trump. Not everyone voted for Trump. But apparently everyone deserves Trump. Even those that didn't vote for him.

So it's not even close to your effort at sane-washing, I'm afraid .

Alternatively, don't second guess him by coming up with what he didn't say and let's see if he bothers to explain for himself. Otherwise his was just a garbage comment that we can consign to the trash-heap.

I'm actually curious and looking forward to see what Trump will do to reduce the size of the government. My expectations are low but my interest is piqued.

The non-serious comment I've read is to fire everyone in the government with a social security number that ends with an odd digit and keep those ending with an even digit.

Well actually, I just usually thank myself, but you are more than welcome to thank him too if you like. ;)
I do, every time something evil happens, I thank Jesus because He only gets thanked when something good happens.

Like for example, I'm thanking Jesus for your posts here. ;)

Even as that goes, there are tens or hundreds of thousands of women who were compelled to vote for Trump by their husbands and there are those in the sub-85 end of the curve. If anyone, those are the ones I'm inclined to cut some slack.

I will add that I am growing rather tired of having to work out what someone might possibly because they didn't express themselves clearly

Likewise, Trump only means what he actually says when it's something that they like. Otherwise, it's all bluster.

That's not a high voter turnout group. You didn't vote did you?

A little more iron in your diet might help that.

Which leads me to ponder, I wonder why no one ever thanks Lucifer when something evil happens. Hmmm

Did I say it was? And what exactly has that got to do with anything? Those are the one I'm inclined to cut slack. Can you read?

Reading and writing practice will help with your problems. Maybe an adult education course in basic writing skills?

Sounds like you regret having done your job.Do you?
Nope. But I went to sleep in Saigon and woke up San Diego. Still have lingering effects at 74. That was end of my third consecutive tour in S.E.A.

I knew in 1956 that I was going to join the USN. I saw "Victory at Sea", first run for the series, and I was hooked. I had special training on .50s and saved a lot of our guys with my shooting. The Browning M2 .50 cal. heavy machine gun fires a supersonic 2 oz. slug that will kill at two miles. That was my umbrella for the guys shagging ass back to our boats. Sometimes I was shooting between guys at a dead run for our boats. They trusted me and stayed their course.

On the griping hand I slept in 72 countries and had >600 pen pals when I retired. Still connect with some of them.
