Are there any real atheists

well who said god cares about anyone that dies?

if there is such a thing as god, who said he cares about human emotions, and suffering, who said god even knows we exist, we might have been a godly accident and he discovered us, and chose to just observe us, instead of actualy control us and take part in our reality,

there is no proof of god existing, like there is no proof of alien life forms existing in the universe, but is the concept of a god impossible? or is it posible if you look at it statisticly, not as a human opinion machine with ego etc,

if you made a probability machine, would the machine say the existence of a god type bieng is totaly impossible? i dont think it would rule it out as 100% impossible. but i think a human midn with its own opinions would.

yes or no.

peace.

Isn't it the natural order of things to know there is a god?

thanks
Do you think children are born with the knowledge of "god"? Or must they be indoctrinated? It certainly is not the natural order of things to know "god".

from the greek atheos a (without) and theos (god).
I think I've posted my views up on numerous occasions, as you know you can find the meanings on many a site on the net, hell even some dictionaries have the right meaning.

Atheism is "without belief in god." .....
Just checking we're on the same page with our understanding (which we are) - so I can better understand where you're coming from in your posts. :)

The reason I started this thread was to see if there were any true atheists. I as you already know cannot physically prove to you a higher being. Nor could anyone else on this earth. The idea of proving or disproving God is an automatic stalemate. I have a leap of faith as do you. A supernatural being could not be proven through natural means. I have no mathematical formula nor a phone number for God so that you could sit and chat with him. I'm not here to convert you or make you think that I'm right. I am merely interested in who here believes God does not exist and why. From my own personal experience I believe in a higher power.

Thanks

i choose not to have faith in either direction, i remain without belief of any kind,

i just observe and think shit but i dont think im right about anything, but i do have earthly opinions, but i wont argue over them in a negative way.

i remain neutral to god, i dont know there might be one there might not be, i shrug.

peace.

actually none of that may be true. a clear photo of a real miracle might be a start.
Why couldn't a supernatural being not be proven through natural means?

Isn't that what the command "Prove it" means ;)

I don't believe in a god, ghosts, monsters, etc. But after a scary movie I am still scared shitless when walking alone at night. But I can't help it. Its an evolutionary defense system.

no such thing as "athiest"
no such thing as dis-belief in god

Lies, absurd statement to say the least.

God doesn't exist, "He" was birthed when a not-so-intelligent African bushmen misspelled the word "Dog" in a school paper. The entire belief in God as been a huge misunderstanding.

we cant be 100% sure a god does'nt exist, because we cant look under every nook and crannie in the universe, however from the evidence, we can be 99.9999999999999%(ad infinitum) that we are right

no you alone have a leap of faith, mine is the natural way of things we are born without any believe in a god, your the one whos diversified into fantasy.

I have already proved it but the problem seems that the thread starter just can get it, for if she had got it she would have been a Atheist long time back.

I hate the fact that there is no god,

Proof,

1) Millions died in Genocides, they all prayed god,

I wish , god was there and had helped them.

2) Millions die in wars for religions,

I wish gods form both side had showed up in public and made a truce with eachother or should have merged the religions. But ...
Thanks

Come on now, all that proves is that there's no such thing as a loving God. What sort of true Christian would believe in such a thing anyway?

I dont think there are gods because there is absolutely no evidence for gods existing, but I still acknowledge that its possible. I dont mind admitting I dont really know right along with admitting I dont really care heh.

And this is the support so many give for their belief in:

god(s)
ufo's
ghosts
alien abductions
etc...

Your personal experience is the worst possible reason to believe anything. Truly self-aware and humble people will never base a lifelong belief system around some personal "revelation" they may have had. Humans are incredibly fallible and need to weigh all personal experiences and observations against the overwhelming evidence against "supernatural" events and for the brains ability to dupe you.
