I'll follow you for a bit, but cannot promise for how long.
I support
some Christian values. Jesus, though far from perfect, did have some good idealogies in which I believe some followers strive to achieve in their daily lives. Now, the ultimate concept that defines a Christian is that they believe in the divinity, crucifixion (for the purpose of removing sin), and resurrection of Jesus - all of which I strongly disagree with. It is, as much of the Bible is, of no more fact or relevence to me than that of the story of Snow White and the 7 Dwarves.
So, I give credit and validity to some of the teachings of Jesus - the basic humane morality that he taught on occassion - just as I support the some of the teachings of Muhommed, Krishna, Zeus, etc. These are teachings in which all mankind of all faiths can abide by. But as for the over all truth and logic behind 98-99% of the claims made within the Bible (and most other religious texts), I have only to say that I believe them to be false, morally bankrupt, and far past their expiration date.
