Why Homeopathy is getting more and more popular?

Maybe wishful thinking, lack of experimental controls, and selective data sampling are the real causes here. Double, double, toil and trouble.

The good doctor Nancy has certainly been making her rounds on the internet and her contact information well known. Of course, every forum she visits is met with the same skepticism and ridicule.

I wonder if she was one of the "physicians" that the Australian couple took their poor, doomed infant to see? Quacks who encouraged their delusional beliefs, which resulted in the wholly unnecessary, and painful, death of their child.

I think it's time governments started tracking and monitoring the activities of alternative medicine practitioners, just like they do for real doctors. If a real doctor makes a mistake and botches a surgery, they're held accountable for malpractice. If a homeopath or whomever promises to cure some disease and the "patient" ends up violently sick or debilitated or crippled or dead because the treatment didn't help or even made things worse, no doubt it should be serious jail time and charges of fraud. Let's see how many alternative practitioners have the balls to sell their snake oil when there are actual consequences for not performing as promised.

What I think is interesting about Malik is that when I posted instances of death and damage done by her field she did not try to challenge the claim. I take that as a tacit admittance that what she does may incur danger to the patient.

Even if homeopathy really works the cause for it has still not been found. But there are all sorts of unsolved mysteries in world. Maybe water is the real cause here.

For the time being, if I assume that cause of its working is still not very clear: even if we don't know how something works but we know that it works will that stop us from using it ? We may not know how homeopathy works but the fact that it had been shown to provide wonderful results, such work give us confidence that it will help us heal when we need it.

'Homeopathy is effective?'

Tell my intestines that.

I took some homeopathic shite for an intestinal problem a couple of years ago. Zero effect.

I don't use proxy names (and location) like many of you. You can still send a letter to me or call me, in fact every one can. You will have me on the line.

Conventional, alternative or complementary is as per see.

A person who prefers, let's say homeopathy, as a first line of treatment, conventional is an alternative medicine for him.

Likewise a person who took conventioanl as first line of treatment, other forms of treatment are complementary or alternative.

And by real doctors do you mean Homeopath doctors?

What I think is interesting about Malik is that when I posted instances of death and damage done by her field she did not try to challenge the claim. I take that as a tacit admittance that what she does may incur danger to the patient.

And when I posted instances of death and damage done by conventional medicine at such a massive scale no on try to avoid it. I take that as a admittance that conventional medicine has incur danger to the patient.

Your claims and evidence were shown to be lies and fraud. Reposting the lies does not change the situation.

And? It is YOUR claim here.

1993, The New England Journal of Medicine reported that 2.5 million Americans used homeopathic remedies and 800,000 patients visited homeopaths in 1990, and it has continued to grow

thirty million people in Europe use homeopathic medicine

45% of GPs consider homeopathy useful. Sixty percent of the doctors who use homeopathy do so because of good experience of homeopathy as effective treatment and anxiety about hazards of conventional treatment (Dr Magazine)
