Therefore no leadership is necessary, for we are in anarchy, where those of us that have been here since the beginning and those of us who have only recently begun their stay here can live as equals, those of us with the four digit post amounts can interact freely with those that have only posted once, or twice. Burgeoning minds need not be lead astray, let them find the pathway to brilliance [here or elswhere] on their own. Let them make the choice.

No, leaders do not fear, they are in power, you fear because of lack of understanding and powerlessness, leaders understand all about fear, fear = weakness

If you fear death, you would fear the lion. I'm not all-powerful now, because in that position, you are powerless (unless you can kick the lions ass :D).

What if I was powerful, I could fight a lion, I wouldn't fear the lion, I would be aware that it can hurt and kill me.

Fear = weakness, it can be exploited.

Learning to control your fear is optimizing your power.

But learning to eliminate fear is maximizing your power.

Fear is part of nature. People have the capability to fear for a reason. A lot of anthropologists think Neanderthals have no fear. That is why they extinct.

If you say you have no fear. I believe you. I suspect some Neanderthals still exist in 21st century.
 
Fear is a natural instinct we have chosen. Everyone feels it, just some of us are better at having logical control over it.

In the lion situation I would have fear not because I fear death but because I fear excruciating pain from being ripped apart by a lion.

Actually in reality a leader fears the change of chain of command. A leader fears parallel movement. A parallel movement means one step closer to the door.

In reality followers fear changes of leadership as well.

Yes, I would also if I did not know what Hitler was up to. If I knew he would send 500,000 men at me, on this day and time, I would not have fear, I would have awareness. I know exactly what he is up to, what is there to fear?
