The history of sexism...where did it begin? Why? Can we rid our world of it?

From the energy that men would have had to put into the pottery and carvings of artifacts from about 20,000 years ago to the bronze age.

I thing the ancient Hebrews put that ruling over women to return their women to a subservient position to go against the matriarchal and egalitarian notions that Egypt exemplified.

It may have been at a time when the Jews were trying to kill off Asherah. God's wife.

Do you read history ? In case you have forgotten the Assyrian have taken the Israelite in captivity , I doubt the Hebrew converted the Assyrian to be male domineering

In the end her point is that the issue of sexism is not a scientific or historical question, but a political and moral one.

Yes it is all about morals on protecting man through his politics.

And if it follows modern views that are near universal, you will perhaps recognize how men ruled for women.

The first rule of morality for men is care/harm applied to women and children.

The bible has little to do with history and it is the bible that I am discussing and how and why it would order that men rule over women.

We treat women like queen , and in England the queen is the ruler

Strange that we do not pay the Queen the same as we do the King for the same work.

To your Queen remark.

And all men should do the same for their wives and if we all did and treated our neighbors wife and daughter the same way then sexism and discrimination against women for being women would end.

What about if she is a bitch , I would stay away from them , So it will fall back to my dear wife and the bitches .

I think sexism is a complement to women , It is beautiful to know women are different , that is why we male are attracted to them . It is like an electron can not be without a proton , together it make us an atom

Women do not mind being different dear, we just want parity.

She never had to go to work outside , she was happy with what he was earning as a machinist in a plant , The house is paid he is retired , and now she is a nurse for him
I believe a woman to be happy is when she can control her greed.

Parity of what ? It depends of the work , and beside you have to keep in mind a woman will get pregnant and she will need time off , that can be beyond parity

?? Men and women in my company get the same amount of time off. It's called maternity and paternity leave. It's parity.

The life's blood of a nation is it's population and you would discriminate against women for giving the country life.

Rethink.

Kholdstare;

Lol I have a sense of humor and that video is pretty funny. :D
So this is how you view equality ...gotcha! ;)

It's 2013. Come out of the cave of which you live, man. :p

Being a parent. It's not just for females. ^^

My wife delivered my first boy . I am the one who was awake at night when the child cried I am the one who fed him I was the one who took care of him , so don't give me the 2013 , When she perished in an accident I am the one who took care of them . so wiki pedia don't have any thing to offer for me . U believe you do when the situation demands , you do it.

Found this great video from

Amazing, this is one of the best way to eradicate sexism.

Are you suggesting that the girl should treat that guy the same as he treated her, if the roles were reversed? Would he treat his male friends like that, and make them take the bus and pay for gas for a ride home that was on the way? The guy in the video is only concerned with himself. He obviously has no feelings for that girl, otherwise he wouldn't have treated her like a piece of trash. That girl should have never went past the phone conversation with him!

In hindsight, my comment was crass, and I do apologize to you.

While all true what you say...we have to learn to lighten up a little. I wouldn’t tolerate a jerk like the video depicts, but I think that sometimes we have to laugh about the crazy stereotypes others have of feminism. If we didn’t laugh once in a while about it all, we would be crying.
