Yeah, what is Adder's power exactly?
The idea comes from the phased particle drive. Mine allows me to manipulate matter through the use of phasing.
His allows him to gain visions, only a few seconds into or out of the future. Its based off of a chroniton drive. Have you ever had an intense experience where it felt like everything was going in slow motion? Same idea here, except that the user feels like they are moving in regular time for maybe a few seconds at most. I'm sure you can guess how easy it would be to pick off an enemy if they are moving half as fast as they normally should be.
Adder's power only becomes significant in it's ability to bring back visions of the past when two conditions are met. 1. You have some sort of index so the power knows when and where to fix upon, in this case my character's memories of what happened at everest.
2. It needs to be suplemented by another power, a power that can manipulate matter. Like my character's phasing ability.
The inspiration literally came from when I heard the term "spacetime" recently again. I figured that my guy's power manipulated matter in that he could send himself across distances in an instant and move out of phase. So I figured the opposite would be time, and hence, Adder's power.
That's why the effect that highlights his veins is the literal opposite of mine, normally his are dull gold, and mine are dull silver. When we are active, mine turn into a bright gold and his into a bright silver.
Although he can only see into the past, but it can be the immediate past. It could have happened mere milliseconds before, that was how he was able to know I had pulled my pistol, he saw me doing it mere seconds after I had done it. But he can't see into the future because it hasn't happened yet.
"Now, get out of my office cadets," the Commandant said with a smile,
"Sir yes sir!"
They went and got changed out of their Royal Executioner Cadet Dress Uniforms into the white Standard Navy Dress. They only kept their swords n their hilt. They all folded them neatly as they were expected to do and put them in piles with their names written on a slip of paper in front of it.
"Shame, that was a nice outfit," Spades said, his real name wasn't actually Spades, it was a nickname they gave him after their first poker game. His name was Jeremiah Halls, from Lunatia IV. A big built man, the biggest out of all those graduating, with not a hint of fat on him.
"Well they'll have to burn yours, nobody else can fit," Rico joked, they all laughed.
"I want to see them try fitting yours on someone like Luna, or the other way around," Ace said, the all laughed again.
Ace's real name isn't Ace either, he was the first Ace in their squadron, thus the nickname, his real name is Caesar Aten, a mid-size from Baladia. Everyone in the room was from Stardust, the Octavians are getting briefed now. There was one member missing in the room, Dianna Luna, the only girl in their squadron and the youngest. She was one of the few attractive girls that Rico was never rumored to have a thing with, Rico treated her like a little sister, so nobody joked about it.
They got dressed completely and walked out of the changeroom and waited outside for Luna. They had some time to kill,
"Hey Rico, heard you got a new girl, who is she?" Ace said
Rico replied,
"You just have to wait and find out,"
"C'mon, we are all bros here," the Padre
"Just wait and see for yourself," Rico smiled and replied.
The Padre was their chaplain, but he fought just as well and hard as everyone else. His name is Jared Smith, and the tallest in their squadron. He was almost the least priest-like priest he ever knew, not that he knew a lot of priests. From what he heard, chaplains in the regular forces don't fight, Rico didn't understand any logic behind it. How was a man supposed to bless something he won't take part in? But not in the Royal Executioners, every Executioner fights. He also have two different colored eyes, that he can't explain.
Luna finally came out and then Rico said,
"What are we waiting for, lets go,"
The Octavians changed during their briefing, they shouldn't take long. Rico was wrong, they already got out and Rico wish they didn't. They turned a corner and Rico saw Katrina talking to Celeste...

Thanks for the heads up, I almost forgot him. which is odd because I personally kicked his ass once and took his commander hostage, you'd think that sort of thing would make somebody hard to forget. You know what I mean?
In game:
"This is the last part." I said quietly
The window lit up as the plasma field engaged, you could hear the child screaming in agony in there, his left arm just had all the skin burnt off down to the muscle, and the surgeons began work there.
Adder puked again.
"Seriously Adder?" I said "Its not even real food, its an illusion, what in G-d's name are you puking up."
"Shutup Tori." he yelled
"Oh give it a break. Oh woe is you for having to watch this. Well guess what. I had to LIVE through it."
An hour later the operation finished.
"Geez, I feel like shit now." Kent said
I shoved him back.
I pointed viciously at Adder, then at everyone else. "You guys had no right, no right to be fucking around with my past like that, you should be ashamed." I yelled
they all looked down, to avoid me.
Then Adder looked up. "This is all well and good, but what's under the snow?" he demanded
I was fuming. "Adder, if it weren't for the fact that your so weak now that I can dispel this I would be the living shit out of you, rip your head off and stuff it in a toilet so you get the first class view of people taking a dump until this vision ends." I yelled
"Bullshit, you can't control this." he said
I put my hands together, they started to glow, then the vision dispelled and I was back in the room, with Kent and Cade still holding on to my arms, with their eyes closed, and Adder with his hand still on my face, with his eyes closed too. I guess I was the first one out.
They started to stir and wake up.
I yelled "get the fuck off me."
I took my right foot, planting it on his chest and flung him off of me into the ground. Then I twisted my arms around Kent's and Cade's, flipped them over their backs, grabbing their legs and flipped them over. They landed on their asses.
The door was still locked.
"SiD! Unlock this god damn door!" I yelled
"Roger" the mechanical voice said
The door openned and I left fuming.

Rico's mates' jaws dropped as they saw Celeste, Rico wish he had a picture of that to show them later. Katrina stood up and smiled at Rico, but it wasn't sweet and genuine, it is a teasing smile, he knew. She walked up to him and patted him on the back,
"Rico, nice work, even your doctor, I never thought you had that kind of reach eh?"
Rico opened his mouth and no words came out of it, he finally said,
"Jealous?"
"No, who do you think I am?" Katrina replied,
Spades then whistled and said
"Oh yeah, Rico, wheels bro!"
Ace went up to him and slapped him brotherly on his back,
"Yo, good job mate!"
The Padre laughed and said,
"She is a babe man, good one,"
Octavian squadron were laughing hard. Katrina walked past him giving him a smirk and wink, Rico rolled his eyes.
"A doctor? A new one even for you, I thought you will start with nurses" Falcon, one of the Octavians said laughing.
"What? Can you get one?" Rico snapped back, that shut him up for a while. Celeste was feeling quite awkward.
"I can get pilots bro," Birdie said, he then added, "Executioners cadets, beat that,"
"I can and I did," Rico snapped right back at him,
"Not some of the top scorers, you didn't,"
"Did they graduate? I don't think so, and you are three-years older than me," Rico replied,
"Well, neither did any of yours,"
Rico had to defend his honor. Katrina just stood there and wish Birdie didn't say what he just said and wished Rico won't bring "that" up, she won't be able to live it down in front of her squadron if Rico did. Rico pulled out his wallet and took out a picture and threw it expertly at Birdie, and hit him right in the neck,
"Think again," Rico smirked an said, "I have more if you want to see 'em,"
Katrina knew exactly what that was, it was a picture of her and Rico kissing on one of Katepel's beautiful beaches during their leave, after a inter-Military Football Match.
Birder was shocked, he looked at Katrina then at Rico, then at Katrina then at Rico...

I looked at the long bow, Adder's machine. Specifically the chroniton core. It definitely looked suspiciously similar to the phased particle core of my wraith.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Adder said as he walked up
I walked away "I wouldn't really know for sure seeing as I'm not doctor." I said, I looked around, my body had phased up, the veins glowing gold, my eyes had turned from their normal green to an eye with what looked like a golden spider web overlaying the normal iris.
I could see clearly what was happening. "Its gone from your hand to your torso, in a week." I said
Adder was stunned, "So what? You handled it, so can I! Now, tell me damnit, what is under the snow?" he said
I ignored the question.
"Adder, your not me! Get it through your god damn skull. You guys aren't me! There's a reason why they picked me to pilot the wraith. I am the only one on this ship, no, in the holian empire that has the body that can put off the symptoms." I said
"So what? You think you can put it off? Sooner rather then later... BUDDY." Adder said
"Do you have a point?" I said
"Your literally killing yourself every time." he said
"I'm doing it because I deserve to die." I said "I've been around longer then you'd think, I've seen enough of this world to never want anything to do with it." I said coldly
