Quotes to remember

“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.”
-Terry Pratchett

"One of the least understood strategies of the world revolution now moving rapidly toward its goal is the use of mind control as a major means of obtaining the consent of the people who will be subjects of the New World Order."
- From The National Educator, K.M. Heaton

"Often the oppressor goes along unaware of the evil involved in his oppression so long as the oppressed accepts it."

“There's something about FALL that makes me feel alive... that life somehow starts on that Indian summer, when leaves dance to kiss the ground, filling the earth with stars and the rustling of leaves beckons me to wander and get lost in its beauty.”
― Mystqx

"Plunderers of the world, when nothing remains on the lands to which they have laid waste by wanton thievery, they search out across the seas. The wealth of another region excites their greed; and if it is weak, their lust for power. Nothing from the rising to the setting of the sun is enough for them. Among all others only they are compelled to attack the poor as well as the rich. Robbery, rape, and slaughter they falsely call empire; and where they create a desolate waste land, they call it peace."
- Tacitus: The Agricola

"It is important to remember that government interference always means either violent action or the threat of such action. The funds that a government spends for whatever purposes are levied by taxation. And taxes are paid because the taxpayers are afraid of offering resistance to the tax gatherers. They know that any disobedience or resistance is hopeless. As long as this is the state of affairs, the government is able to collect the money that it wants to spend. Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men, of policemen, gendarmes, soldiers, prison guards, and hangmen. The essential feature of government is the enforcement of its decrees by beating, killing, and imprisoning. Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom."
- Ludwig Von Mises

It is also important to remember that the government interference is for purposes of providing common public services. Those services are installed by the people's representatives in government for the common benefit of the people.

In a country that is comprised of many semi-autonomous states a central organizational structure must be maintained for consistency and protection of certain common basic rights, privileges, and responsibilities, regulated by installing sets of "checks " and "balances".

The people's representatives vote on the necessity and desirability of these national common issues, such as Interstate commerce and National defense, and vote on the budgets for the maintenance of these services and the method of collection to insure that mutually beneficial government services are provided and paid for by means of a fair taxation on all the people.

It is when checks and balances become unbalanced and the laws become corrupted or misapplied, that the people are no longer represented fairly and have an opportunity to voice their general dissatisfaction by electing more honest and competent representation at regular prescribed intervals.

“What was alien was being ordinary, being humdrum, being trapped into appeasing...having to crush and stifle my opinions, not being allowed to be brilliant, tricking myself into mediocrity.”
― Russell Brand

"Regardless of the dollar price involved, one ounce of gold would purchase a good-quality man's suit at the conclusion of the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the presidency of Franklin Roosevelt, and today."
- Peter A. Burshre

"But what counter-insurgency really comes down to is the protection of the capitalists back in America, their property and their privileges. US national security, as preached by US leaders, is the security of the capitalist class in the US, not the security of the rest of the people."
- Philip Agee, CIA Diary, p562

What if the person reveals that he/she is horny. What's you gonna do, listen quietly and not exploit it?

"Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There was never a democracy that did not commit suicide."
- John Adams

attributed to Tytler
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, ..."
