Same for any group. Labeling Arabs in the Gaza strip as a bunch of fanatical terrorists doesn't work unless you're some kind of bigot. Your opinion of Jews having suffered more than any other race looks like a plea for some sort of special consideration.

And it simply isn't true either. Jews are not the only persecuted group of people in history. So what, even if it were true?

as the holocaust is well documented - the ones that suffered the most during that period as a race are the jews. that is undisputed - except maybe for some holocaust deniers who simply wont admit it.

Seven Qassam rockets landed in Sderot and the western Negev since Friday noon. No injuries were reported in any of the attacks, but a fire broke out in the southern town.

The latest barrage hit at 5:30 pm, when a Qassam landed near the entrance to the town, causing no injuries or damage. Earlier, three Qassam rockets were fired at Sderot. Two of the rockets landed in town; one fell near a school and caused a fire. The third rocket fell within Palestinian territory.

Shortly after noon Qassams landed in open areas in the Eshkol Regional Council, near a kibbutz in the Sdot Negev Regional Council and in a kibbutz south of Ashkelon. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

Some 10 rockets were fired at the western Negev on Thursday, one of them landing near the town of Netivot.

Hamas says an Israeli soldier it has captured two years ago will "not see the light" until Palestinian prisoners are released in a prisoner exchange.

The Israeli soldier, Corp. Gilad Shalit, was captured by Gaza militants in a cross-border raid in June 2006. Egyptian-led talks over a prisoner swap have been bogged down.

Hamas has demanded the release of over hundreds of prisoners. Israel has agreed to release some inmates, but has balked at some of those on Hamas' list.

Hamas official Mushir al-Masri said in a speech Friday that "Gilad will not see the light, will not see his mother, will not see his father, God willing, as long as our heroic prisoners do not see their families, in their houses."

A week and-a-half ago, Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal's deputy Moussa Abu Marzouk said the Islamist group would not release kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit unless Israel releases 350 Palestinian prisoners.

Shortly after 9:45 pm the Color Red alert system was heard in town, followed by a loud explosion. Magen David Adom emergency services, police units and firefighters were called to the rocket's landing site.

Damage was caused to a nearby house and to a portable shelter in the area.

Officials at the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council reported of a power outage in one of the kibbutzim near town due to the attack. Blackouts were also reported in several neighborhoods in Sderot.

Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack.
