Moderator bias

I, personally, feel I have been unfairly treated by the following moderator(s):

i have no doubt that some people also found hitler, stalin, castro, and saddam "very helpful".
sam is on an anti american crusade, the likes of which this board has never seen.
instead of boosting indias image she resorts to such low blows as evading questions, refusing to provide requested evidence, playing the race card, you name it this woman has played it, and practically every single bit of it against america.

Oh for fuck sake grow up. You're always fucking complaining, just like Buffalo Roam, the funny thing is its always both of you that troll and make personal attacks against Sam. Anyway, its getting really fucking boring now.

prove my claims wrong instead of attacking me the person.
since you have failed to prove my claims wrong i have reported your post for abusive language.

Dear Leo,

I hope you are well.

sorry to butt in but maybe the Ghost has not been online or anything??!!?? I reckon you should give it a bit more time. Also maybe you could send him a PM as you feel so strongly about it. rather than "snitching" to a mod

Just a thought.

i can't put this nicely so i won't say anything.
on second thought yes i will.
ghost didn't hesitate to post his"for fucks sake" not once but twice.
if he indeed knows i troll sam then he also knows all iof the evidence i have posted because SHE knows it.

I reckon you should give it a bit more time.
they pointed out that all i do is troll and complain.
they should at least provide the posts where my allegations are wrong.
but they do have a point.
it's apparent that the posters here can say anything without any regard whatsoever of the truth without fear of reprisal from the mods.
that kind of posting style does have its negative effects though, not from the mods but from the posters themselves.

i thought about it.
but then nobody seems to want to do me any favors.
they could PM me too but do they?

snitching?
is that how you view the report system?
i view it as a means for the posters to get the kind of board they want.
of course there are some that see it as snitching, while others will see it as a way to take revenge.

Either way, it's a bad moralistic habit to get into. It's cowardly and sours the character.

It saves moderators the time and energy of looking for posts. I get a lot of reports and I can act immediately on them. On my own, I couldn't possibly read all the posts. And I am online all day.

Though, if I am online on the forum, I prefer it if the posters PM me; since I check my emails only every hour, and thats if I am not writing.

hello leo,

thank you for your feedback.. i dont really want to get bogged down with this but i have just checked Ghosts posts and he posted last at 12:58 am yesterday (GMT) which was about 20 minutes after you responded to him.

All i am saying is to give Ghost the chance to see your post and respond. He may not have been online since, he sure has not posted anything since. I am not sure how reporting him will help if he has not had the chance to respond.

cheers

Are you encouraging stooling just to make your job easier?? Right, let's all corrupt ourselves for your benefit—and you for ours, apparently. Ha. Well, I'm one who won't comply.

what's wrong with making a volunteers life easier?
some of these mods have lives outside of sciforums.
i'm not too sure about sam but the rest do.
Right, let's all corrupt ourselves for your benefit— . . .
well actually it's for the benefit of the entire board.
Well, I'm one who won't comply.
that's your prerogative.
i'm a bit of an anarchist myself.

Well, that's what makes it all the more confounded: volunteers who choose to occupy themselves with an activity they need not do. But to act as an informer behind the backs of fellow-members in a community is not something that can be taken back. Ever.

Yet—and this is the craziest and most ridiculous conundrum—should I voice myself in public and to all of your faces, I get stigmatized as being a "whiner" and a "troll"!! Bizarre to say the least.

there is a certain amount of "i know something you don't" involved.

that kind of attitude is exactly why the religion forum and the politics forum has turned into the slugfest it was. you will note i said was.
those forums are getting better.
and they will get even better if we have an active feedback on the matter.

there are a number of ways to go about that.
1. above board discussions.
2. PM
3. reports.

frankly i prefer reports because it eliminates alot of horseshit.
namely the wagon jumpers james mentioned.

and they will get even better if we have an active feedback on the matter.
Very well, for the sake of cooperation, I'd acquiesce to the idea of informers only if such reports were posted publicly, with names, reasons, and corroboration. Because, in a sense, moderators are relying on third party plaints that may or may not be affected—and, as we've all witnessed recently, some moderators practice favoritism and/or belong to an entourage, so any third party plaints coming from their quarters is bound to be bias, abused, and intrigued upon… behind our backs. Like, who is and who isn't—I'm still leery about what really happened to Shorty.

But I also understand that such an accounting in public for every plaintiff is also impractical. So that brings me back to square one; having to oppose a patchy system.

I think you act immediately on members who you don't care for.
The others are put to the bottom of your list and then somehow
forgotten.
It is obvious some rules apply to some members and not others.
