You really are brain dead, Sam. And, when you eventually come to terms that your religion sanctified and promoted slavery, you'll hopefully restart your brain.
e.g. Jews regularly sold themselves into slavery to other Jews because according to their law, they had to be freed in the seventh year. There is a Bible story on this.
Selling yourself was the easiest way to pay off debts, get out of being a POW or landing a better lifestyle than you could afford. Slaves had ranks from Emir to labourer.
So, Muhammad took it upon himself to uphold Abrahamic atrocities and codify them into Islam.

No he made it a act of piety to free slaves. He was also the first to insist that they have rights as human beings. Which is why it is rare to find anyone today who has negative emotions from being the descendent of a slave anywhere in the Middle East.
Thats what people are saying. Because he's a Muslim man, he cannot possibly just be arraigned for domestic violence, they have to investigate his religious leanings as well.

I think most abusive men use the excuse "she pushed my buttons" and blame the victim. No matter what religion they are.

He who hath killed a believer by mistake must set free a believing slave, and pay the blood- money to the family of the slain, unless they remit it as a charity. If he (the victim) be of a people hostile unto you, and he is a believer, then (the penance is) to set free a believing slave."
* 23:5-6 "And who guard their modesty - Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess."
* 24:31 "And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves."

Oh dear dear.
All i meant was that over a 2 month period when i was reading the paper at work everyday, many similar acts of violence or thuggery were supposedly commited in the name of religion....all of the muslim faith. And it makes one wonder what the hell is going on sometimes. You lead this sort of thing on a few steps and you have acts of terrorism, blowing many innocents up under the guise of 'faith'. Its disgusting!
