Is it immoral to sleep with prostitute?
I am a man, I am unmarried, I have sexual desire because I am just a man, an ordinary man, not a Saint :D
So, when I want sex, I go to find prostitute. I paid for it. I did not rape.

Am I immoral?

Well it's certainly not spirtual.
Common moralities say no for obvious reasons.

I had safe sex, put on condom,
I paid for it, I have no wife, I am single.
Anything immoral with my deed?

Maybe we need an article that contains some brief testimony to stimulate the discussion. This one might be good for starters:

For the record I have never paid for sex and do not ever intend to. But I do not believe that the issue is clear-cut, morally speaking. In circumstances where women are coerced into prostitution or are so desperate that they feel they have no other choice I don't believe supporting the industry is the right thing to do. But clearly there are cases where certain women do indeed seek out this type of work not as an act of desperation but because they feel that it is a legitimate career choice.

Depends how you define morality. Do you think it's objective? Or do you think an individual decides their own boundaries for morality? Or is there a difference between morality, and acts which a person agrees or disagrees with?

A good rule of thumb is "did anyone get hurt by your actions?". If the answer is no, then it probably isn't immoral to most people, even if they personally wouldn't do it.

If both parties to a sexual act are mentally capable, of legal age, not impaired in any way, and are completely honest with each other there is no sexual immorality.

He should go to Thailand.
The bar girls really love you there.
Prostitutes will love you where ever you go in the world ... provided you have money of course

They'll even let you pay for them to live in a house.
as opposed to what?
Refusing to let you pay for them to live in a house?

Bet you picked up a few "bargains" at the bazaar too, huh?
;)

(BTW its a bit unnerving that you suggest that the best place in the world to get the best quality love from a prostitute is thailand ... .... what do you suppose is their secret?)

In many countries, especially poorer countries, child prostitution remains a very serious problem, and numerous tourists from the Western World travel to these countries to engage in child sex tourism. Thailand, Cambodia, India, Brazil and Mexico have been identified as leading hotspots of child sexual exploitation.[10]

Prostitutes are not immoral, they do not force you to pay them for sex, it is up to men to decide.
As long as it is safe safe, I think it is acceptable,

No legalizing is wrong and harsh punishments are also wrong. Token and up to nominal penalties are better. You will never stop the illegal aspect of prostitution because the criminal element will always be there. If people didnt support it financially it would disappear though.
Other than religious objections, or situations in which the prostitute is forced into prostitution against her will, there's no logical reason to ban prostitution.

A man has money and wants sex. A woman can provide sex yet has no money. Why can't they engage in a typical pay for services rendered transaction? Why is it OK to send a person into a coal mine, onto a battlefield, or out on the streets fighting dangerous criminals; yet beyond the pale for a person to engage in sex for pay?

Risking your life in dangerous, unpleasant activities is fine, but being paid to do something pleasurable is forbidden?

Legalization allows regulation, mandatory STD testing, better and safer working conditons, and increases tax revenues. Thru legalization we would be removing most of the negative aspects of prostitution; yet you are against it. Why?

I think it depends on many other factors.

1. Whether the woman was forced into prostitution
2. The age of the woman
3. Whether your morality embraces indiscriminate sexual intercourse with strangers
4. Whether you think paying for sex is wrong
5. Whether you are comfortable with your girlfriend or wife using the same methods of sexual gratification i.e. paying for sex with strangers
6. Whether you distinguish between marital sex and sex with strangers for money

Loneliness is a very bad thing to have and to find someone that you can at least have a little time with and an intimate relationship with sometimes is what's needed for anyone. Who really cares what others think, at least you can have a good time and talk to someone for awhile that could relieve stress and make you feel better, even its for a brief moment of time. :itold:

I personally know two whores, on first (real) name terms. And I used to know another. They were ok people, if a little screwed up. I put one of them up for 6 months, and she concieved her daughter in my laboratory of all places. Michelle even used to sneak in my bed at night so she didn't have to be alone. I never screwed her though, she was a friend. I did confiscate her dog 'cos she couldn't look after it. 3 1/2 years later, I've still got him..He's a most excellent dog.
To her it was just a way to get money for crack. She liked her punters and did have some fun, but the bottom line was always about the money.

Most people are prostitutes . Yeah you prostitute your self for the money. Doing something you would not do if you where not paid to do it. To go against your convictions to make the buck so you can pay the rent . Like selling fast food when you are convinced it is not a healthy diet , or this Cable T.V. installer I know that will not own a T,V. and thinks it rots your brain , Or even like my father were he is a Christian and believes cremation is a sin , but he is all O.K. with Me making and selling Urns.
So if What we typically think of as a Prostitute loves her / his work and is dedicated to it and does the best job possible, could they really be considered a prostitute?

Based on what majority said above, "I am not wrong".
Personally, I am atheist, but I respect human's right.
It is my right, and the prostitute's right to have "sex exchange for money".
Prostitute is not despicable, the work with their body, as a mechanic work with his hands.

So, my conscience is free of guilt to fuck prostitute, every deal, in my country, costs me about USD70 for 45 minutes of service. :D

If she wants the money for crack or meth, then it is immoral to supply a prostitute with the means to further endanger themselves. But if the prostitute is doing it just for a living, then it could be moral. I don't see why adults cannot make contracts for sex just like any other transaction. It's their body to give away.
