Is consciousness to be found in quantum processes in microtubules?

But for that to matter , to exist , you need a physical presence to exist .
No, objectively all you need is values. Values are not necessarily physical. They can exist as latent potentials.

I have explained this before in the example of the mountain lake which physically does not produce electricity, but possesses the latent potential value for gravity-fed electrical generation.

Objectively you need the three dimensional physical Universe , to have values or anything for that matter .
But you just cited a mathematical geometry.

What will cause Universal heat death?
The heat death of the universe (also known as the Big Chill or Big Freeze)[1] is a theory on the ultimate fate of the universe, which suggests the universe would evolve to a state of no thermodynamic free energy and would therefore be unable to sustain processes that increase entropy. Heat death does not imply any particular absolute temperature; it only requires that temperature differences or other processes may no longer be exploited to perform work. In the language of physics, this is when the universe reaches thermodynamic equilibrium (maximum entropy).

But even if the universe experiences heat death and maximum entropy, the mathematical essence of spacetime remains, albeit in latent form.

For those who are religiously inclined, Mathematics is the scientific equivalent of your God.

The absence of absolute zero , Universally
No that's not true. You think that everything disappears ?
The definition clearly indicates a state of equilibrium (not total emptiness), a mathematical term.

And mathematics can be expressed as metaphysical or physical patterns, no?

I don't know . Explain your thinking with more depth . And clarity .

Think of the metaphysical Platonic solids, the idealized versions of what we observe in expressed natural patterns.

I thought of Platonic as more about shape . Either way the physical is the foundation of solids and shapes .

Shapes are patterns. You may want to revisit the concept and definitions of "patterns" .

Pattern
A pattern is a regularity in the world, in human-made design, or in abstract ideas. As such, the elements of a pattern repeat in a predictable manner. A geometric pattern is a kind of pattern formed of
geometric shapes and typically repeated like a wallpaper design.
Any of the senses may directly observe patterns. Conversely, abstract patterns in science, mathematics, or language may be observable only by analysis. Direct observation in practice means seeing visual patterns, which are widespread in nature and in art. Visual patterns in nature are often chaotic, rarely exactly repeating, and often involve fractals. Natural patterns include spirals, meanders, waves, foams, tilings, cracks, and those created by symmetries of rotation and reflection.
Patterns have an underlying mathematical structure;[1] indeed, mathematics can be seen as the search for regularities, and the output of any function is a mathematical pattern. Similarly in the sciences, theories explain and predict regularities in the world

No need .

Without the physical there are no patterns . Because empty space , is devoid of energy and matter . Patterns can not exist in a void .
Interesting that you should cite a void. In the other thread on Aether you agreed with Michael that the aether has always existed.

Aether, Classical element

Description
According to ancient and medieval science, aether, also spelled æther, aither, or ether and also called quintessence, is the material that fills the region of the universe above the terrestrial sphere.

So which is it?

Do revisit the wiki article on Patterns, please.

I didn't say that there is a actual void . Things and Life have always existed .

By thinking upon nothing . The idea , concept of nothing . And then could it be real .
No , nothing is a concept , mathematical concept . In the physical Universe nothing can never exist .
And how did the physical Universe come to be?
