The reaction would probably be the same as you telling a Christian that the crucifixion which is paramount to their belief that it is a crucifiction, that their religion is a false religion, etc. Or the same kind of reaction as a Hindu would have if you told them what you've been known to rant about their religion as though it is a joke. The reaction I'm guessing would be the same as if you walked up to a Jew and told them that the holocaust was the holohoax. Shall I go on? How about you walk up to Christians, Hindus and Jews and tell them to their face what we've been privy to you saying on here PM. I'm guessing that the result will be you disappearing for a while as you're body mends while being tube fed in a hospital.

I had an interesting discussion with 2 Muslim foreign students from Algeria (I'm guessing Algeria because of the French accent they had) today while in the library at uni. I was standing there waiting to use one of the printers and they were standing directly behind me, speaking in French, not realising that I could understand everything they were saying. They were commenting on how long the queue to the printers were and then one of them made the comment that the "queue would go a lot faster if there weren't sluts (me) like the one in front of us here". Now while it was in French, I looked around and realised that I was the only girl in the queue, actually the only girl in the room for whatever reason. They continued on in French and made the charming comment of how "at home sluts know their place and we'd never be standing behind one". By this stage I was so angry that I thought I would scream. So I quietly turned around and looked at them, smiled and told them that if they had such a problem with where women stood in front of them, or if they had a problem with women or me in general, that instead of calling me and women sluts, that they could just go back to where they came from. Now to say that I was angry would be an understatement. The printing room in the library went silent as all eyes turned towards us and the two Algerian foreign students went pale as they realised that I could understand what they had been saying. They literally bolted from the library. I turned around and I realised that people were asking me questions and when I repeated what they'd said in French and why I replied as I had, I was congratulated. Now why would they have called me a slut? It couldn't have been for my dress sense as I was in my usual uni garb of jeans and sleeveless t-shirt and runners. But the way they made the statements, it was as though all women were sluts, because of the way they said that back home sluts knew their place. These two dickheads had that mentality of a backward, idiotic, chauvanistic male.

So PM, that was their reaction to my supposed hate. Kind of cowardly don't you think? By the time I'd finished speaking, I was ready to kick them both in the nuts and report them to the Uni Administration. But they ran like girls. I have Muslim male friends and relatives and never once have I ever heard them refer to any woman in such a manner. I'm still angry. Sorry for the rant. But I'm still soooooooooo angry!

Of course they refereed to you as a slut because for them any woman who does not wear a head covering is a slut. To most muslims all western woman are sluts. i'm sure if you walked through an Algerian village dressed as you where at that printer you would be beaten in the streets maybe even to death. in fact a lot of people have been butchered in Algeria over the last decade in the name of Allah. hundreds of thousands in fact.

Hypocrisy issues in the Bible probably derive from the fact that it's compilation was born of political expediency, many men of varying beliefs and degrees of sanity wrote it, and it has no relation to divinity/spirituality whatsoever.

The same could be said of the Qu'ran, and in fact every known 'holy' book.

Ermmm no. Actually I don't think so as I have a cousin who's married to a Frenchman and they're both based in Algeria (they have been there for a couple of months and are due to leave there in July) due to her husband's work. And she does not wear the hijab. And in all the emails we've exchanged since she's been there, she's never once mentioned any kind of those comments. From what she said, a high number of Muslim women in Algeria don't even wear it. I actually think these two idiots at uni were just that... idiots. I have several cousins and friends who've married Muslim men and they don't wear the hijab and it's never been an issue. The women in their husband's families don't wear it either. These two guys just had their own opinion. It was just the way that they said that back home sluts know their place, as in they expected to go first if a woman was in front of them. In all my life I've never once met any Muslim male who said such things. Those two idiots were just backwards and had absolutely no manners or sense of being well... human.

I can't believe it.. I'm actually still angry. :mad:

Believe me, if I knew their names or who they were, I'd have reported them. I've never noticed them on campus before and the fact that there are so many students, I tend to rarely look at anyone as I'm usually too busy rushing from one class to another to have the time to look at others. It's been worse since I've been roped into lecturing in some of the first year classes as well.

The fact of the matter is that no one should ever talk about another person the way these two idiots did. Whether they knew me or not, it is totally unacceptable. I could say that they were uneducated and backwards. Actually I will say it. They're uneducated and backwards. They just had that mentality that can be seen in some people. It's not the fact that they are Muslim as I'm sure there are many men in all societies who think the same. It could be that they come from some backwater in Algeria where women are seen to come behind the man, who knows. But to make that comment. And what makes me so angry is that they were cowardly enough to make the comments in French, thinking that no one would understand them. Unfortunately for them, I did. So instead of having the pleasure of standing there snickering about me being a slut, they didn't expect that I'd turn around and abuse them for it. When they realised that I had understood everything they'd said, they ran. Bastards! I'm guessing that they make such statements about all women they see around them, because just from their tone of voice and what they said, I'd be suprised if it was different. Lets hope for their sake that I never notice them on campus again... and lucky for them they aren't studying law:mad:..

If he could still refer to them for the truth, it must mean they had it with them! Whether it was something that Jesus read or said, it was available and verifiable.

Not according to the Noble Quran:

''Know they not Allah Knoweth what they conceal and what they reveal? And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book (i.e., the Bible), but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture. Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: 'This is from Allah,' To traffic with it for a miserable price! Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. '' (The Noble Quran, 2:77-78)"

"O Apostle! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, 'If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!' If any one's trial is intended by God, thou hast no authority in the least for him against God. For such - it is not God's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment. (The Noble Quran, 5:41)"

You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, 'It is from Allah,' to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!" (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Holding Fast to the Qur'an and Sunnah, Volume 9, Book 92, Number 461)"

I know such kind of people, these ''bastards'' dont mind marrying these 'sluts' just to remain in the country, I met some while I was in England...they are just cheap low class people.

I think those two are extemists. Many muslim extremists do have very low opinion of western women. Otherwise even the idiots among filipino canadians dont talk in our native language and calling another woman a slut.

Having worked in many factories with many muslims I would confirm that they are not only the nicest people, they are also the worst towards women. Pornography, graphic and verbal, are highly valued, and woman are talked about as if they were sex object. More so than with other ethnic groups although here similar views are also rampant (this includes also the 'natives').
