Suffering is still suffering, you could very well be ruined for life. Who could worship a god that treats us like ants?

Religion is giving them the cop out, like saying it's OK to own another human being.
those are two very real possibilities. you can either break the chain or not, but the chain is there to be broken or not. i think we're all well aware of the chain, right?
This life is a tiny speck, the dunya is but a game to me dont get too attatched to this life my friend because you have to leave it soon.

If you do use your brain to pick which appeal to you, then the only value of the text is as an inkblot (or dare I say cloud) in which you see what you want to see. Doesn't that support the atheist notion that our values are innate, that they predate these texts?
