Why did it happen?

If you can communicate with G-d then ask him why.

Have you used your 'gift' for good in any sort of way?

What exactly has G-d told you?

god's told me a lot of things, and those things have accomplished good imo. god's taught me to love myself and love others, to forgive people, to be kind, strong, and generous. to be honest. god's encouraged me to find out what i'm really made of.

Then may I ask why are you bothering to engage in debates about itif you are so sold on your convictions. See for me I admit i try to teach people about god i admit i want other people to believe in god i won't deny that, but my intentions are from goodness because I want you to be happy and have eternal paradise.

On the other hand could you say the same is true for an atheist?, intention and agenda is more important to me.

peace.

peace.

What's the agenda of the atheist?

What makes you think its any different?

I am extremely happy as an atheist, I wouldn't be as a theist.

That's not a lot of things, that's practically the motto of many religions.

What are you made of?

My beef with G-d is that he is supposedly the answer to every question, that means that you won't bother trying to answer questions with anything other then god.

That is why my existance is happier then yours. Because I know a lot of the real answers, not the pseudo answer.

Also could you tell him that it'd be real nice if kids didn't suffer and die from malnutrition and starvation.

What makes you think its random?

Do you think the creation of the super conductor was by chance? No, there was a problem, and that was the solution.

If we were intelligently created, then why is there so much useless crap in the body?

Suffering.

Well I don't think it's random, but lets trace back evolution and the universe to it's starting point, what caused the first effect?.

What useless crap is in your body?, i have heard people call many things in nature useless before but i don't see anything as pointless they might have reasons for existing that i don't understand.

Ask yourself a question, why are you alive?

peace.

i think you have positive intentions and a positive attitude. this is good.

as far as forgiveness, it's not as simple a concept as many think.

we should never let things slide or let people get away with destructiveness or condoning it. that is not a healthy way to exercise forgiveness.

when it is healthy is to recognize that we are not responsible for changing others as that is their ultimate decision on their own. we can try to influence them or share information or when they ask for help. there is only so much we can do and there comes a time when we need to let it go. holding onto bitterness or hatred will only eat at you if it's not channeled into a productive outlet for better change in oneself or the world.

You tell me since your an atheist and im not, what is your agenda when engaging a theist in debate about god? what do you hope to achieve? do you want them to lose their faitht he same way reversed as they want you to have faith?

If the answer is yes would you say strippinga believer of his faith is a nice thing to do?

peace.

If those children are gaining eternal paradise whats the big deal? once you get to heaven you dont know suffering anymore only appreciation.

Are you mad at god?

peace.

if one believes in a concept of a creator, then it's reasonable to hold it accountable for it as well as the design, even for the sake of argument.

Not God, for it's impossible for the complex to be elemental.

How about a quantum fluctuation, which itself is but a balancing of nothing—the only state that something can be made out of. (Can't have specific particulars just sitting around intact forever, even supposedly elemental ones like electrons.)

So, now we doubly can't have God, since the basis, whether stuff forever or nothing, is what was eternal, there having been no creation of this basis.

Dear Lori;
If you talk with god please ask him to talk with me, I need to hear his voice, If he can't do something so simple then I don't believe he exists(even my senile neighbor can speak to me).

that's exactly what i said to myself a long time ago and i demanded that god prove it's existence to me. i believed in the possibility of it enough to be very sincere, but at the same time my demand was serious. if it wasn't worth proving, then it wasn't worth knowing, and i thought that a sincere desire was enough on my part. i asked god what you told me to, not that i don't think god can hear you just fine. so listen.

Well looks like you have it all figured out so dust your hands off and be done with the topic?

Or deep down part of you still is not content on your stance?.

Then the question is: who created God? Does God have a creator? Is Gods creator his God? Was God just around forever? What is forever? Can forever exist? How can forever exist?

I cannot be mad at something, that I don't believe in sir.

By your logic, infanticide shouldnt be a big deal. then why punish it so hard?
