Guys have to learn too. If you work for a female and they ask you to complete some task if you have time to do it, it means "Do it". Some guys don't do it because they didn't have time. Those are the guys who haven't worked for a female.
In the "old" days
it wasn't unusual to hate to work for a female because many were just figuring things out and were trying to be more manly than a man.
A female who is competent and comfortable in her skin, in my experience, is likely to be more pleasant to work with/for than many guys.
You make a good point though, if you want to be treated equally don't be offended when you are treated equally.
Guys generally don't/can't make excuses. You just have to get the job done. Women have to do the same if they want to be promoted equally.
