Yeah..it's evident you never watch them. Never are any such disclaimers presented with these paranormal reality shows.

They also do not comment anything about "we have indepentently verified claims made in the program"

They never comment anything about that because in the history of TV never has that comment ever been aired with any program.

They certainly have you fooled, so it looks like their strategy works.

Ghost Hunters added a computer generated shadow to "prove" they had found a ghost. Careful replays show that the segment that showed that a two second segment was duplicated to make up airtime. The first time it did not have the shadow, the second time it did.

In Haunted Collector, an "expert" finds items that are "haunted" (usually valuable antiques) and offers to "remove" them to "lift the curse." Needless to say he has quite an incentive to prove that they are "haunted" - and makes a good penny selling them later.

In Ghost Mine, a "paranormal expert" (Kristin Luman) claims she is a psychologist. She does not have a degree. In another video she claims she is an "accredited hypnotherapist" who studied at Portland University. Portland University does not have such a program either. She does have one paranormal connection - she was an actress in "Harvest of Fear," a teen slasher flick that has something vaguely to do with a curse. Which is actually an excellent background to have if you want to act scared of imaginary ghosts.

In Ghost Asylum, amateur ghostbusters build "ghost traps" to try to trap ghosts. These include solar cells attached to capacitors to keep them from manifesting. In their own words - "By using a solar panel, we could reverse this by sucking the spirit’s energy back into a battery." They even build - I kid you not - a "ghost trapper" built out of a wet-dry vacuum lined with aluminum foil.

Council for Media Integrity has suggested that certain paranormal programming should carry “entertainment” or “fiction” labels. Likewise, the British media regulatory body Ofcom notes that any demonstrations of paranormal phenomena “… that purport to be real (as opposed to entertainment) must be treated with due objectivity” and that if a demonstration is for entertainment purposes, “this must be made clear to viewers.”

Ummmm I guess this is a ghost written article

That's a complete lie. Never are any disclaimers presented with any paranormal program. I've watched hundreds of these shows. They're never presented at all. Like I said, skeptics will lie about anything.

Magical Realist is "lying" about having watched GhostHunters.
Magical Realist is 'lying" about having analyzed any of the videos he's posted.
Magical Realist is "lying" about having read or studied ghost accounts at all.

See, MR, once you drop below the threshold of arguing in good faith, the discussion breaks down completely.

We have zero reason to take anything you say as anything other than lies.

2) The reason that most programs do NOT have disclaimers is that it is easier to get money out of people like you without disclaimers. Follow the money.
