I simply can't fathom being attracted to a sibling under any circumstance.

And, I generally wouldn't chill naked with someone I'm not sleeping with, but that isn't a sexual thing. Even for attractive men, nudity doesn't equal sex.

Two interesting aspects of this discussion:

(1) This topic has become what some refer to as "puritan pornography", in which a moral/ethical consideration about sex allows people to give greater attention to sexual taboo. I'm finding out few things about my Sciforums neighbors. (For the record, I can't believe how many of the prudes want to bang their relatives.)

(2) I think it would help to remember that if we all got naked tomorrow, sometime in the near future the spectacle would wear off. Yes, I can imagine that some of you would be trying to pretend you weren't sporting the hardest erections of your lives, or leaving a mess on your chair, but at some point, don't you think, that overexcitement would wear off? Who here really believes their own sexual impulse to be so powerful that they wouldn't eventually stop noticing?​

No, not if you happened to see someone especially attractive or in some interesting or suggestive pose. No, I don't think it would wear off in our lifetimes. And it sure wouldn't if we had to wear clothes sometimes, but not other times.

I had a girlfriend once who loved walking around the house naked. And, no, I didn't walk around with an erection all the time. But if she happened to do something, or get into a pose that was ....ahh, interesting, then my pecker would definitely harden. I lived with her for several months, and that never changed, and I can't imagine it changing in years, either. She was attractive as hell, and I was attracted to her.

And it might not. And attractiveness doesn't necessarily equal arousal - I've had very mediocre sex with gorgeous men and very gorgeous sex with mediocre men. The latter were much more able to arouse me through simple Pavlovian conditioning: I associated them with good sex.

Psychology, if you will: people interpret other's actions in light of their own motivations. People who are generally nice tend to ascribe nice motives to other people, for example.

So by that reasoning, you would wonder about someone who assumes that seeing their sibling naked would be sexually arousing.

I never said ALL Children think this way. I said it "COULD" happen, if you have teenagers running around naked together. But it is YOU guys who are saying that COULD NEVER happen.

Do you always have to take things out of context to such ridiculous extremes. You've taken something quite innocent and then tried to compare it to a brother seeing his sister naked and comparing that to the same brother seeing sexually explicit pornography, designed to elicit a sexual response from readers, and having the same reaction. Doesn't that strike you as a bit stupid and down right perverted? That little imagination of yours runs quite rampant, doesn't it?

If teenage siblings are going to be sexually attracted to each other, being naked will have nothing to do with it. The same attraction will occur if they are fully clothed.
