The guy is a psychopath. He's detached from reality, and arrogant. I wouldn't be surprised to find that somebody had noticed his mental state, and recruited him into Islam for a purpose, and that we'll see EFC on the news some day. Or bits of him, at least.

The implicit premise there, that such decisions and moderation here are consistent and principled and sensitive to the attributes in question, is manifestly faulty.
I'd say you answered your own question with that stilted dichotomy, there.
Raises an interesting point - maybe those empowered to do so are more interested in using the threat of a ban to control/influence you, then in actually banning you.

I was an advocate some time ago of having the ability to ban (temp or perma) a member from specific subfora.
That way, if for example, someone who is clearly ignorant of Physics but nonetheless insists on posting inanity therein, they could be restricted from posting in Physics, but still free to post all their whacko theories in say, Pseudoscience.
It's sad, but a number of members here are shockingly ignorant of the very subject that they purport to be familiar with, if not scholars thereof....
Chi, this is from my own perspective, and nobody else's:
There's a difference between explaining one's faith and trying to convert.
Trying to convert somone to one's own religion...especially when they already have their own, often comes off as very chauvinistic and arrogant.
I'm under the impression you've had a recent conversion, you feel very good about this, and I'm happy you've found your personal solution for your spiritual life.
But the rest of us are all pretty smart and read a lot. If were were interested in converting to Islam, chances are we'd first be researching it, reading the Qu'ran and the teachings, trying to see if it was where we belonged.
I think that this frontal assault on us will get you banned and won't win converts. So A double fail from my point of view.
Kind of a shame. When you're not trying to make converts you actually have some interesting things to say.
I think you'd actually do your faith more of a service...if you talked about your personal efforts to live as a godly Muslim over in the religion forum. What your spiritual practice is like, how it came about that you were introduced to the faith, how it's improved YOUR life, that's what I think other members might be more interested in?
You see, there's not too many Muslims around where I live...some across town, but my side is where all the rednecks live...so I'd be more interested in how your faith both ties into and improves your life...not so much into the urgings to adopt it.
So telling it from your own interior perspective, as you live it.
Although you really want to PM the mods before taking my suggestion, as it's walking the line, really.

There was another thread about this same subject Chi. A lot of insight on that thread and the opinions varied widely. I think it was while you where banned last time . You kind of like to tempt fate don't you little buddy . A real lion type personality aye! WE would call that an A personality in business and leadership training . You probably come by it naturally by the status of your family. That would be my guess . Isn't one of your relatives in Parliament or something ?

Have you tried heavy handedness. Yeah way! I mean fear tactics . Your usage of slide of hand insult perception is a great tool and I am surprised you haven't had god results .
