Totally dude. I mean...there are just SO many gays serving in "straight" jobs that it's just impossible to think that acceptance isn't on it's way. My question for you is this:

Why do you personally disagree with homosexuality and/or same-sex marriage?

However there are rules to this post that I ask you to follow...

1) You cannot, under ANY means, refer to ANY religion or spiritual practice in your response. If your opinions are faith-based, please don't bother posting.

2) Keep it intellectual and clean. I'm heterosexual, and can honestly say that I have no problems with homosexuals, male or female. The UK is fast becoming a very tolerant nation as far as homosexuality is concerned, what with gay marriages being legal now. May it continue and become the case around the world.

I think one of the main aversions is just a problem of unfamiliaraity. I grew up in Georgetown, DE which is about 10 miles from Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, which both have large gay populations, and are summer havens for gay people. So, having had interaction with gay people as long as I can remember, I don't see any problem with it at all. Most of the people that I've encountered that have an aversion to gay people haven't really ever had dealings with any. Its like if you see a redneck family walking through the airport, obviously worried about the guy with a turban on. Until you've had a chance to humanize gay people, by knowing them, you only have the stereotypical idea of them.
