Not true. The children on the cover of Led Zeppelin's 1973 album "Houses of the Holy" are five-year-old Stefan Gates, now a London TV personality who specializes in food and science, and his sister Samantha. Multiple shots were arranged in a collage to look like eleven children.

At this time Robert Plant and his wife Maureen Wilson had two children, Carmen Jane (b. 1968) and Kerrac Pendragon (b. 1972). Kerrac died in 1977 of a stomach infection. The couple were divorced in 1983. In 1991 Plant and Maureen's sister Shirley had son Jesse Lee.

Don't thank me. Thank Wikipedia.

Let this be a lesson: It's just too easy to check these things out. Wikipedia is not 100% accurate, which is why it's not allowed as a citation in footnotes in academic or institutional writing. But it's much more accurate than our friends. ;)

This is not always straightforward. I couldn't remember the name of the album, so I looked up the song by its title. The first line of the article named the album, complete with hyperlink. The article on the album had a section on the cover art. It gave the names of Stefan and Samantha Gates. Stefan had a hyperlink to his own article. Then I hyperlinked to Robert Plant to learn his (unfortunately very sad) family history. He was on an American tour when his wife phoned to tell him their son was in the hospital. Two hours later she called back to tell him he was dead.

The article didn't go any further into it. "The show must go on" is still the mantra of all professional entertainers, so I'd be surprised if he canceled the tour. But I wouldn't be surprised if he rescheduled a couple of dates.

That mantra is in effect even way down here on the D list where we bar-band musicians hang out. One of my dearest friends had spent six months putting together a new, improved version of his cover band. Their first gig was scheduled during the Christmas holidays, slow nights when bar managers try out new bands. His father-in-law died that morning.

He picked up the phone and his wife asked, "Who are you calling?" He said, "I have to cancel tonight's gig."

She said, "Oh no you don't. You've worked too hard for this. I understand that your music is part of who you are. There's nothing you can do by staying home; the funeral hasn't even been scheduled. I'm sorry I can't be there for you, but all of our friends will, and I expect a full report in the morning."

Now that's the kind of wife every musician wants. They did a stellar performance and they're now one of the most popular bands in the region.

What more can I say? The first one is majestic. Like Pete Townshend TOMMY majestic.

This song is fantastic, but if you play the both videos with a few seconds apart, simultaneously, it's even more fantastic.
