Talking on what rights are is pointless unless you first have a basis for them.

If one says everyone has equal rights, then they, by necessity, are not looking at any material derivative, since there is no material test that gives equal results between individuals.

Of course society, by its nature, is built on the premise of material variety, so the road to victory will be a series of battles.

IOW to get bzck to your original gripe about religions socializing fellowship in contemporary society, that has pretty much been par for the course ever since the folks way back when decided that equal unalienable rights were a good idea worth striving for in society, in all its material varigated and unequal glory.

We can begin with the right not to be purchased like chattel and be owned by a rich asshole who thinks he can whip you to death or hang you for looking at a white woman.
