QQ: (TIC) At least my response (YES) is in UPPER CASE , while yours (nope) is in lower case, so from a grammatical-emphasis perspective, I judge that my response is more responsive and likely more correct!! At least I am more confident in my response than you are (HAHA! - Lighten up!!) My recommendation: Go have a peaceful, relaxing visit in the park, as I understand you are wont to do, and let's get back to scientific discussions of greater merit!

I truly wish that Trump was just a joke, a prank, a hoax but alas I can't smile whilst getting bitten on the bum...

One thing I have difficulty understanding ( although I actually do) is that the American people are allowing such a morally bankrupted person to wave his/their nuke around...

Why take the risk?

Better to have no president than a megalomaniac that can't even spell the word "ethics" let alone know what it means.
Totally unpresedented oops unprecedented!

Why take the risk?

Because we are a nation of laws, and in America power is very decentralized. There are millions of Americans who believe every word he says and when confronted with facts, they discount and dismiss them. We've got our idiots. It takes time to get through to them.

For example:

If you were able to do a global costing of what Trumps impact on the USA and it's international trade/reputation has been you would be surprised by the enormous burden he has already generated. Money that has been wasted and opportunity lost already, that could have been better used to solve most of the countries problems.

And you wish to sit back and sing "Don't worry be happy"

At the speed Trump is deploying his agenda I honestly don't think you will have time....for due process.
there is no honey moon period regarding trump

Very well said; that's exactly what Trump's supporters are doing.

The US is dumb-downed. (Best evidence is our newly elected president.) The US is at the bottom of all educational studies done on 1st world countries. The only way the US remains on top of scientific creativeness/engineering is that we brain-drain other countries. Other countries' finest minds come here to study, work, and reap the benefits. They often use the work visa H-1B to come here. This visa can be used because US companies cannot find enough educated/qualified Americans to fill needed positions. 37% of workers in silicon valley are foreigners. But I've read that this can't last forever since the standard of living in these other countries is rising such that their very smart and well-educated folks are now staying in their home countries.

The "real" Americans (in the red states) are too busy watching American football (yuck!), watching NASCAR (another yuck!), drinking Budweiser (two yucks!), riding in their pickup trucks, and getting high on opiates.

Look what has happened in week one. He has already split the Republican Party. Congressional Republicans have threatened to oppose codify the Russian sanctions into law if he were to remove them. And they have split with him on his executive order. Trump's blaming the media, telling people to believe him, and not his executive order or the press.

This is just week one. I can't wait for week 2. :)

WOW! All of this has happened . . . and in only ONE WEEK! QQ: Sounds like you are NOT the optimist for the subsequent 51 (or 103) weeks! (HAHA!)

no it all started when Trump was successfully nominated by a party that initially rejected him and only agreed after he threatened them with extortion....

Yeah, QQ . . . .Right! . . . . it must be real dark in there! . . . . no extortion by the Clinton's though. . . right?

To be or not to be is neither the question, or the answer

Not at all... reality is bright and shiny...you should find the courage to try it some day....
not talking about Clinton or any one else... topic was the financial cost of Trump to USA and the world so far....

this is fascinating... you are doubting the pro Trump testimony of Trump supporters on what you believe is a biased media show?
That's what we are dealing with here. For decades now the American right wing can and does make up its own "alternative facts". Over the course of decades folks like Karen have been taught by right wing entertainers to only believe what they tell them. They have been carefully taught to discount and ignore information from any other source. That's why they don't believe scientists or any fact which is inconsistent with what they have been told by right wing sources. It's Jonestown all over again, but on a much larger scale. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonestown

Karen and the people in the CNN video are perfect examples. They cannot sustain an argument based on facts and reason. All they can do is repeat what the right wing entertainers they listen to have told them.

Unfortunately even your extreme comment is an understatement....Jonestown was a walk through compared to the influence Trump is exerting.

they also eat "Trump cake" for breakfast....

re: "let them eat cake" or it's original "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche"
