The Pope speaks: Muhammad had brought the world only "evil and inhuman" things. !!!!!

Just answer the questions - its that simple!!

Just how peaceful is the Muslim faith when they cannot accept criticism without bloodshed?

Where are the moderate Muslims seeking to calm the storm? Are they too afraid of the radicals?

How can the Muslim faith teach peace and cooperation when they are also killing themselves in the name of Allah?
you are talking about a few demented individuals stu who use there position in pwoer to corrupt everyhting in sight...

They dont care about the religion.. all they care about is self preservation of power etc.....

The non extremist muslims are trying to change thuings, but it does not get easier when the west gives ammunition to the extremists...

eg answer killing with killing, its a vicous cicrlce my friend.

and please look through all my posts where i ahve tried to cover all these issues (not just this thread)

I wasn't picking on you as an individual, I asked a simple question.

I'm fasting so I don't wanna get in an argument.

You should understand by the very fact that stu123 has no idea what Jihad means how low his level of awareness is (or how high his love of BS).

I'm only debating with people who are interested in an honest debate.

Keep up your good work.

One of muslims faults is that they are very quick to jump to conclusions, which sammy dear - you have done. I know EXACTLY what jihad means. I took the liberty of studying Islam for a couple of years for my own benefit - so that I know exactly what bullshit answers they give to certain questions (such as your shiny stones)

You say "I'm fasting so I don't wanna get in an argument." LOL!!!!!!!!!

Come on Sammy - can you answer the question of how tolerant and peaceful Islam is - your "bruvvers" aren't coming up with anything.

Oh - and forget the shiny stones - they look cheap imitations.

Just a thought Sammy - can you answer these questions:-

Just how peaceful is the Muslim faith when they cannot accept criticism without bloodshed?

Where are the moderate Muslims seeking to calm the storm? Are they too afraid of the radicals?

How can the Muslim faith teach peace and cooperation when they are also killing themselves in the name of Allah?

I think the postings in this thread are a very good example of how tolerant and peaceful Islam is.
Especially given equivalent education etc.

I wonder what it would be like if there was one Muslim debating three of your kind.

edit: Obviously jumping to conclusions is not a Muslim prerogative

But Zak how can we listen (or read) what you say - you haven't said anything

What happens when the pope quotes a Byzantine leader to make his point about the futility of violence between religions -- what do we get??

lol ^

What do we get? We get Muslim scholars as well as Muslim organisations (and non-Muslim ones) around the World that condemn the Popes insensitivity and thoughtlessness while refuting his attack against the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Many Ulama spoke about this issue, they repelled the attacks and humbled the trouble makers, they all illustrated that the Pope was a few sandwiches short of a picnic, you get me? Oh yeh, we also got people on Internet forums posting nothing but bigotry aimed at creating more chaos and confusion, people that aim to stir up further trouble and cause more religious tension.

We get a dead nun, churches burned, the leader of the world's billion Catholics burned in effigy, hordes of angry Muslims demonstrating in the streets and demanding that the pope be hunted down and slaughtered, all of which proved the point stressed by the pope in the 14th century.

They were tragic events, those that were responsible should be punished. I weep for the nun, her family and anyone who suffered any aggression at the hands of Muslims. That is not Islam, when Muslims follow in the footsteps of the Beloved without a doubt we will be of those with the best conduct.

And what’s worst of all, we get silence from the leaders of the West.

The pope was dangling out there all by himself. There is not one leader in any part of the world -- left, right, center, or anywhere in between -- standing up for the pope. The silence from Bush and Blair speak volumes.

Did you seriously expect Western leaders to back views that are wrong and hateful in the current World climate (War on terror etc.)? Seriously? It’s the Pope’s own fault, he isolated himself, his move was not calculated and he just ended up looking a fool. He’s only got himself to blame.

Why is it that the anti-Islamists always appear more rabid than the Muslims on this forum?

More violent, more intolerant, more blood thirsty?

Is it just the sticky keys, syntax and manner of punctuation?

If it is not Islam - then why were they murdered???

He spoke the truth - he reflected on the horrors of islamic terrorism in the world today.

Nothing wrong in telling the truth - unless it blackens the name of Islam, now isn't that closer to home?

Saying as you going back to the time of which when the pope was quoting you tell me.

Thats a statement not an answer.

Now - please explain how Islam is peaceful and tolerant - can you give examples?

Yes it took 50 years of US foreign policies in the ME before there was ONE attack on the US.
