I think the Taliban are dipshits. Pursue them all you want, but not at the expense of civilians. If there were terrorists hiding in the US would NATO bomb the cities?

So we should let them use this tactic without any retaliation whatsoever? Basically, let them demand of us complete and utter acceptance of their attacks and use it as the one way to get at us without retaliation?

yes it is very disaapointing that the Bush administration and allies are playing right into the hands of the Bin LID. i really dont understand why they cant understand this.

Usually people do loads of research when they embark on a multi-million pound adventure, let alone a multi billion pound adventure. but it is clear that the Bush administration has done none of this and as a result is making matters ten times worse and making the world ten times more dangerous.

As suggested numerous times before, the BUSH administration and allies are going for the wrong guys and using completely counterproductive tactics.

Why oh why cant they strangle the House of Saud, which is the real problem behind all of this.

india is The "largest democracy in the world" and it does not have a clean human rights record. Every year, thousands of people are imprisoned for political reasons, often without charges of trials. Torture and ill-treatment are common, and hundreds have died in custody. Hundreds more are victims of extra-judicial executions or forced "disappearances". The United States has maintained that while the Government of India "generally respected" the human rights of its citizens, "numerous serious problems remained" and has listed several "significant human rights abuses" to include extra judicial killings, faked encounters, custodial deaths and torture and rape by the police and other government agents.

At least hundreds of thousands, and probably more than a million women and children are employed in Indian brothels. Many are victims of the increasingly widespread practice of trafficking in persons across international borders. In India, a large percentage of the victims are women and girls from Nepal. This report focuses on the trafficking of girls and women from Nepal to brothels in Bombay, where nongovernmental organizations say they comprise up to half of the city's estimated 100,000 brothel workers. Twenty percent of Bombay's brothel population is thought to be girls under the age of eighteen, and half of that population may be infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Moreover, you'll have to find me some references for a -purposeful- strike on civvie targets in Afghanistan. Last I checked, the US goes out of her way to buy precision munitions so she doesn't have to carpet bomb cities.

Yup it does, too much poverty and illiteracy, so people still have notions that belong to ancient tribes.

Leopold, the Dalits are coming to Christ in droves, they and the rest of the Christians of India are the only force for religious freedom there, as the Hindu government allows and engages in suppression of religious freedom, and Muslims seek a theocracy, like the Koran says, so let's hope the Dalits will be a powerful force in Indian politics. (If only the Hindu "upper castes" would stop considering the Dalits to be limited in intelligence and ability.)
 
samcdkey and you don't care about the civilians ether, you only use them for a excuse to rag on the U.S., the Taliban doesn't care about civilian death, that has been shown by the way they attack civilian targets with indiscriminate bombings, and the use of them as shields, I would really like to be able to see one of the supposed wedding parties that we are supposed to have attacked with out cause, I really believe that if seem up close you would find that they weren't really wedding parties, and that Terrorist were having a sit-down to make plans to attack more innocent civilians.

Since the Nato airstrikes began on March 24 Serb officials say more than 2,000 civilians have been killed and more than 7,500 wounded. Nato has owned up to bombing raids and missile attacks that have killed 460 civilians, according to a tally by Agence France-Presse. By all accounts, the bombing was indiscriminate, killing farmers, suburbanites, city dwellers, factory workers, reporters, diplomats, people in cars, busses and trains, hospital patients, the elderly and children. Indeed, by our count, Nato bombing raids have killed more than 200 children.
