Taliban flee battle using children as shields: NATO

Welcome to Sciforums, where no matter what the topic, it's always somehow more apropos to threadjack and blame someone else.

How you get from the Taliban using children as human shields, to a U.N. embargo against Iraq in the same breathe is certainly a display of dizzying intellect.

What a dazzling show of absence of intellect if you can't make the connection.

SamCDKey:

Are we to take that you support the Afghan fighters usage of human shields?

Or are we to assume that you just felt like sharing a totally unrelated topic in a discussion in which you keep mum about your viewpoint of Afghani fighters?

Truly: What's with your constant chiming in of American actions? Americans were not being discussed here. It would seem that you are seeking justification for the Taliban. Are you?

1. Where did the Taliban come from?
2. Who started the war?
3. Who got distracted in Iraq?

blah blah blah

samcdkey, still finding excuses to blame anyone else but the Moslem terrorist themselves for their actions, samcdkey the Afghan war was 18 years ago and the Taliban now, isn't the same people who fought the Russians, and even then we didn't create the Taliban, yes they received some support for their operations against the Russians, but they were in existence before we provided support. The leadership of the Taliban is not the same people from that time period, and their actions today are completely their own.

And now they have come back to bite you in the ass.

Friends often do that in life, don't they. Life changes; friends change; common goals change; ....change is what life is all about.

Or do you think that friends should never, ever change, and should always be your friends, no matter what changes occur in life???

Prince_James, she is seeking justification of all terrorist, when has she ever criticized her Moslem fellows, she is a product of her religion, which means that if you are a infidel it all your fault, and your get what you deserve for having the temerity not to let the terrorist kill you for your belief's in your God, and in freedom, it doesn't matter that the terrorist are killing hundreds of thousands of their fellow Moslems, all that matters is the Prophet Mohammad may god curse his name for all the problems he has inflicted on the world with his bastard religion, I am tired of the political correctness that fails to recognize that the world wide terrorism problem comes from the Moslem religion, a pox on them and their murderous religion.

My dear Buffalo,

i hope all is well with you.

The last part of this paragraph is outrageous, wher on earth can you justify this. Just becuase a few knobs backed by the House of Saud, have the twisted whabbist ideology and happen to call themelves muslims mean that it is the fault of all muslims and Islam as a religion. What we are seeing now is a point in time.

A few days ago somone one suggested that some reserach be done into which religion in name has killed the most people over the last few years, i however told him to perhaps go back further 9or aks the question why) unfortunately he did not respond. i dont think you Bufallo would want to put a wager that islam over the last 1000 years or so has killed the most people do you?????

Oh and by the way the fucked up taleban are absolute dickhead muthafuckers ...... well you know my opinion on them anyway so i wont go further on this.

please may i ask that you retract some of the above statement, as you are falling into the trap of the Saudi backed whabbists,.. Dont do it buffalo dont fall into their trapm, this is what they want you to think...

1. Radical maddrassa's in Pakistan.
2. Al Quaeda
3. The U.S.

It's shaping up to be a bloody spring in Afghanistan. The Taliban has regrouped, several members of NATO seem to be losing their resolve to stay the course, and the U.S. is stretched too thin to commit more resources to the fight.

Musharaf has an impossible situation on his border, and his own war to fight at home against Islamic radicals.

Exported Wahhabism: Saudie! You're doin' a heckuva job!

Anyone.. and I mean anyone.. who resorts to using a child as a human shield should have the skin flayed from their bodies.

What about in a waterfight, like? Like say I "employed him as an intermediary" when the wife grabbed the garden hose.

Just hypothetical.

You have friends that you train and fund and arm to oppress others for political and financial gains????

Guess you get your news from a different source:

[Zbigniew] Brzezinski not long ago revealed that on July 3, 1979, unknown to the American public and Congress, President Jimmy Carter secretly authorised $500million to create an international terrorist movement that would spread Islamic fundamentalism in Central Asia and "destabilise" the Soviet Union...

The CIA called this Operation Cyclone and in the following years poured $4billion into setting up Islamic training schools in Pakistan (Taliban means "student").

Young zealots were sent to the CIA's spy training camp in Virginia, where future members of al-Qaeda were taught "sabotage skills" - terrorism.

Others were recruited at an Islamic school in Brooklyn, New York, within sight of the fated Twin Towers.

In Pakistan, they were directed by British MI6 officers and trained by the SAS.

The result, quipped Brzezinski, was "a few stirred up Muslims" - meaning the Taliban.

The Wall Street Journal declared: "The Taliban are the players most capable of achieving peace. Moreover, they were crucial to secure the country as a prime trans-shipment route for the export of Central Asia's vast oil, gas and other natural resources."

No American newspaper dares suggest that the prisoners in Camp X-Ray are the product of this policy, nor that it was one of the factors that led to the attacks of September 11.

And just to keep up with the news:

Former Guatemalan Defence Minister Gramajo Morales, who was accused of "devising and directing an indiscriminate campaign of terror against civilians", including the torture of an American nun and the massacre of eight people from one family, studied at Harvard University on a US government scholarship.

During the 1980s, thousands of people were murdered by death squads connected to the army of El Salvador, whose former chief now lives comfortably in Florida.

The former Haitian dictator, General Prosper Avril, liked to display the bloodied victims of his torture on television.

When he was overthrown, he was flown to Florida by the US government, and granted political asylum.

A leading member of the Chilean military during the reign of General Pinochet, whose special responsibility was executions and torture, lives in Miami.

THE Iranian general who ran Iran's notorious prisons, is a wealthy exile in the US.

One of Pol Pot's senior henchmen, who enticed Cambodian exiles back to their certain death, lives in Mount Vernon, New York.

What all these people have in common, apart from their history of terrorism, is that they either worked directly for the US government or carried out the dirty work of US policies.

The al-Qaeda training camps are kindergartens compared with the world's leading university of terrorism at Fort Benning in Georgia. Known until recently as the School of the Americas, its graduates include almost half the cabinet ministers of the genocidal regimes in Guatemala, two thirds of the El Salvadorean army officers who committed, according to the United Nations, the worst atrocities of that country's civil war, and the head of Pinochet's secret police, who ran Chile's concentration camps.

Blowback. Exactly what the Saudi's have on their hands now with this latest threat by Al-Qaeda to attack their oil facilities.

If AQ has their way, their could be two sectarian wars in the ME, instead of just one.

I wonder if Al Quida will suffer blowback from playing the Shiites against the Sunnis, don't they want a unified Islamic Empire?
