"mockic" (mock-topic) - news group subjects which are created and/or perpetuated solely for the dissemination of intellectual spam.

I suppose "intellectual spam" would have to be precisely defined too but what do you think so far? Its my first pass so feel free to add or change anything. I agree that this type of spam is just begging for a name of it's own.

If anyone has other suggestions, post them. We might as well put this waste of bandwidth to some use, defining it and naming it may be fun.

The luminosity value shown on the Accelerator Update is 44.51E30 at some 2 TeV. Since there must exist some fluctuation in de Sitter space as well as oscillation in the ring at Fermilab, a juxtaposition in values bewteen these two intertial frames may permit this most catastrophic transition towards de Sitter space. This is the central message of the article by Malcolm J. Perry entitled, Quantum tunneling towards an exploding Universe? (Theoretical physics, Nature Vol 320, 1986, p.679).

The extended history of physics as we note the progression from Sir Issac Newton to Albert Einstein and his collaborator Willem de Stter gave rise to Relativistic Cosmology. The article cited above is an exemplar of this progression in the realm of modern science. It would be most unwise to ignore the conclusions derived from this line of investigation from a scientific perspective.

Check Paul's last post. Back in 1986, there seems to have been an article agreeing with him.

Does anybody have a copy of that issue of Nature handy? It would be interesting to know what it said.

Back in the early 1950's there were those who claimed that the H-bomb tests at Bikini Atoll were going to start a chain reaction using up all the hydrogen in the oceans. That threat never became a reality. Now it seems that back in 1986, there was concern about the particle accelerators. Almost 25 years and another threat has come to naught.

So far, science and technology has done more good than harm. I see no reason not to trust the experts. Unlike politicians, they care what happens beyond the next election.
 
Mr Dixon mentioned that article on the very first page of this thread (back in 2001!!)
The online databases only go back to 1987 for Nature.
I'll look in the library when I get a chance.

To present an analogous event from atomic physics, we may use the illustration from Chernobyl where an atomic pile of the original uncontained design was subject to an experiment by the scientists in charge.
This gave rise to the loss of integritity of the reactor containment mechanism yielding radioactive contamination of the Ukraine and portions of Northern Europe. The central mass of radioactive material is still settling through the concrete protective shield which when this happens will make the original vast eflux of radiation appear to be only "air freshener." (A quote from the terrifeid German scientists on television at the time of the disaster) These are exemplars of responsible scientists entrusted with the welfare of their own people. A group of suicide volunteers were called upon to stem for a while the plunge of the radioactive mass towards contact with ground water under the reactor by constructing the concrete shield at the base of the reactor.

Having faith in responsible scientists, controlling the destiny of mankind in a responsible manner is a worthy and noble attitude, even if it is somewhat unrealistic. Alas, scientists are only human and suffer from the same foibles and shortcomings as we all do.

As shown in the accelerator update at Fermilab, the luminoisty value obtained was 54.33E30 at some 979.66 GeV. Thus ongoing research at Fermilab has most fortunately stabilized at these very great energies yet they pose a very great threat as they now exist since the underlying paratmeters yielding a transition toward de Sitter space are unknown at this time.

The time has come to request an extension of the work of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency or the institution of a new agency with authority in the new realm of high-energy physics to ensure the continuance of the nations of the world and all their inhabitants. National and International Agencies are necessary since the regulatory function does not occur automatically but requires a new set of guidelines as well as a new attitude based on a saftey-first orientation rather than any other considerations. Immediate steps must be taken in this regard or all is lost.

From the central viewpoint of modern physics, it must be understood that it well behooves those exploring the highest energy parameters at Fermilab and elsewhere to understand that they have entered into the realm of relativistic cosmology. Since relativistic cosmology is the best established and most authoritative theory in science, those conclusions which have been amply documented, that these researches will be generative of a Type Ia Supernova, should not simply be ignored but must be PUBLICLY refuted before this research may be continued. Towards the end of the current decade, the construction of the Large Hadron Collider will be completed in Geneva, Switzerland. There is now an advanced superconducting magnet in transhipment from Fermilab to CERN. It left Fermilab to Portsmouth, Virginia where it will have a sea journery to Antwerp, Netherlands where it is set to arrive June 3, 2004. This is the first shipment of the 43 foot (13 meters) bright-orange, 16 ton, steel cylindrical magnets valued at 1 million dollars. The purpose of this shipment is assure that there is no loss of quality during the extensive shipment process. This is one of the focusing magnets for the LHC in Geneva. The LHC will then be the new highest-energy physics collider with proton and antiproton collisional energetics.

The Tevatron is now being, "FIRED UP," to its highest historical level at
the luminosity of 66.44E30 at nearly 2 TeV. We must then face the possiblity that we are arriving at the threshold of forming a transition towards de Sitter Space thus releasing the force of Type Ia Supernova and ending all life on earth. Where the energies are already those seen at some trillionths of a second after the Big Bang at the point origin of the Universe, these energies are then increased by six orders of magnitude at the CDF within the ring at Fermilab. In terms of relativistic cosmology, the formation of a transition towards de Sitter space by breaching the large potential barrier towards de Sitter space is only a function of this increase in energy in the CDF at Fermilab.

We are thus plunging recklessly and irresponsibly to our doom!

A new luminosity record has been established at Fermilab with 73.3E30 at near to 2 TeV. This means that the greatest energies yet seen on earth have just been produced in the CDF at Fermilab. Since with each increase in energy there is an increased probability of breaching the potential barrier towards de Sitter space and releasing the force of a Type Ia Supernova as this is understood under the the theoy of relativisitic cosmology (Please note: the preceeding pages for journal references), we are now ever more at risk of creating the final experiment terminating all life upon our planet.
