Somone who knows God.!!!

Sin is not just an act. Its a physical condition, just like being born blind or with any other physical handicap.

Its not about blame, its about a realization that humanity is seriously and inherently fucked up.

Being blind is a sin ??
You are using a very unconventional definition of the word 'sin', Lori.

And doesn't sin need some sort of authority? Otherwise sin is meaningless.

Well, that's irrelevant. The point is that they might not have known that they were wrong.
Jesus was challenging the authorities, so he got what he asked for.. Besides, wasn't that Gods plan all along anyway?

Yes. And you would think that an atheist or two would pay some attention to that. But alas, no.

you're not innocent either, and you're no judge.

jesus wasn't punished for crimes. wtf translation are you reading?

Lori, I can't see why you would be confused at someone thinking that Jesus was crucified as a result of a legal process, corrupt as it probably was.
It is described in the Biblical account.
What's more, it's in Wiki:

The charges brought against Jesus were primarily of blasphemy for claiming to be God, claiming to be the King of the Jews, and for allegedly violating various laws under the laws of Moses, which governed Jewish life. When the Jewish leaders' plan to kill Jesus first arose, they explained in John 10:33: '"For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."'

well yeah, i just don't see that as a crime. lol...

I don't know what this means.

oh...i mean that atheists tend to equate jesus and god with the hypocritical religious authorities, instead of realizing that neither jesus nor god is religious, and that jesus contested them. the same is still true today. the pharisees haven't changed all that much over the years you know?

Where ? Could you post the passage, or link to it ?
I didn't think you were a bible thumper though..

i'm not, so i can't give you verses, but in the bible it says that we are born with sin inherent in our flesh. that all of us are afflicted inherently and equally. that's a major tenet.

Again, the question would be: who or what decides what sin is?

Also, "that we are born with sin inherent in our flesh" says nothing about genes or DNA whatsoever. It could mean a lot of things.

:confused::confused::confused:

like what? inherent in the flesh is the very definition of genetic.

and the laws of the universe decide what sin is. anything that creates an imbalance, or destruction, deterioration, suffering, sickness, and death.

Not really.. it just means that sin is something that can't really be avoided.

So, everything is sin then? Even God.

Enmos, Lori is not a bible thumper. She's a bible banger.
AND I'm willing to bet she curls her hair with holy rollers...

no, inherent in the flesh means just that...it's genetic. every other thing that's inherent in our flesh is genetic...every little thing...and so is sin. and yeah, if it's inherent in the flesh, then it can not be avoided. that's why.

So, everything is sin then? Even God.

no. sin is what is in opposition to law. transgression and circumvention. you can see a perfect balance in nature. can you see how we are most often in opposition to that? trying to circumvent that? causing destruction and suffering? all in the name of what? greed, lust, envy, pride, blah, blah, blah...

I am most certainly willing, shit, I am dying to live without sin. But until my blood is cleansed, I'm stuck with it.

But even in sin, if you allow it, god can teach, develop, and change you. Knowing god and interacting with it can give you a very different perspective that permeates everything you do and think.

God can take a very imperfect person like me and make a perfect purpose and life for them even in their imperfection.

Sin doesn't thwart god. God just works around it.

Im seein the rationale of you'r beleifs... an as a part of you'r journey for cleansed blood... what specificaly are you doin toward gettin you'r blood cleansed... an if you sinned less coud that be helpful in reachin you'r gole soomer.???

Also... as a part of you'r reincarnaton beleifs... do [you] thank everbody will eventualy make it to heaven.???

wow, what an intelligent thing to say.

Hahah. You just can't get over yourself, can you?
It wasn't meant to be intellegent. It was meant to show you how silly you make yourself look sometimes by always jumping to such extremes. I've never met a Christian that was so impatient and jumped to slander so quickly.

Isn't that a sin, by the way?

what slander? you came out here and posted a trite and trivial insult. you're flaming. i was pointing out that's the best you seem to be able to offer to a conversation. that's not a sin, it's an observation.

I'm flaming? Ha. Well, not in that sense.

And that's very arrogant of you to think others are so put out by your moody suchness because you're trying so hard to prove some point that's not really getting proved at all.
