Actually, I don't. I have people that I consider good friends that are Christian. We just try to keep our mouths shut about our beliefs becuase it would obscure our friendship, and both of us enjoy it too much to let that happen.

I'll be honest: Christians annoyme at times. Not becuase of our difference in beliefs, but becuase time and time again I'm told that I am going to hell and that there's no way that I could be an inherently decent and upright human because of this.

And I'll never be as fanatic about anything as some Christians are about homosexuality. That's just too much.

You know, I live in the deep south and when an openly gay man dies for whatever reason [Dalton died in a car wreck] people actually show up and yell and wave signs and try and "reach out" the others that are there, like myself, to mourn the loss of a friend?
I didn't know stuff like that actually happened. Apparently we have an organization for it here. I was aghast.

Well you sure as hell aren't going to see me doing anything like that. Don't you see that the way you respond to me on this forum is the same judgemental animosity that some asshole holier than thou religious people respond to you? Why? Because we believe different things. Its bullshit.

But isn't part of being Christian following what others tell you to believe? How do you get to make up your own beliefs in Christianity and what exactly is a true Christian??
