Somone who knows God.!!!

well what do you think we've been discussing exactly? have you read revelations?
Revelations? *sigh*
You go ahead and deny being religious then..

ok, so if animals don't mind all their suffering, then why do you care about it?
Who says they don't mind ? I'm just saying that they aren't looking forward to an existence without suffering because they are incapable of that, or at least most are.
Do I have to take your question here to say that you don't care?

which btw, i very much do think animals would be much happier without all of the abuse we throw at them, and our raping and wasting their environment.
All they do is try to survive. And we are diminishing their chances. It's not like they know that.

You're hijacking the concept 'survival of the fittest' to describe some sort of religious idea.

ha! i'm a hijacker! you don't own that concept. :bugeye:

A lot of money.

exactly. which is my point. you're a slave to the federal reserve.

Because it's obvious and at the same time it's also obvious that that will never happen.

obvious to whom? when communion with god and each other is restored, we will know everything we need to know.

Revelations? *sigh*
You go ahead and deny being religious then..

lol.

that's not the only source enmos. just look at our world. it is so obvious we are headed straight for doom at an accelerating pace. you don't need a religion to tell you that.

well i know that, but i care enough for all of them. :)

Ether way... out OR in

I worked wit a "functional" skitsofrenic years ago... an when he was in the nut house he herd the sam voice as when he got out... an yep... it was God talkin to him... an he didnt thank he was skitsofrenic... he thout everbody else had a mental disorder... an he didnt jus "beleive" it was God talkin to him... he was certain.!!!

Yes, just as Lori is certain.

The world population can be brought down to roughly 1 billion people within 150 years using a global 1 child per woman policy.

that sounds like something out of a sci-fi horror movie.

and we've discussed before that we would still suffer just as much because the 1 billion would still be inherently flawed.

nope.

It still beats your tales of destruction.

not if there's no fix. not if suffering continues anyway. so fewer people suffer. why suffer at all?

No, you just said that. I never agreed with that.

well it's true. those few left will still be just as fucked up as all of us are now.

She has been diagnosed, but she's in denial. Her family knows it too, but she refuses to have anything to do with it. We can now witness the results of this less than fascinating case study.

How did you come to believe in a basically Christian worldview? Did you read the Qu'ran or any other text? Were you raised in the Christian tradition?

my grandma was a holy roller, but i didn't buy it. religion always turned me off big time.

when i first started questioning though, i did read a book about all of the world's major religions. each chapter was written by a person who actually practiced that religion. i concluded that the outcome of all religions are basically the same (resulting behavior that is). lots of different ways to get there, but the outcome basically the same.

i didn't even read the bible really, it's just that after i put myself out there in regards to knowing god and having a relationship with him, my experiences brought about realizations that were in accordance with what it says in the bible (or what i was familiar with just from living in the US). my first realization had to do with forgiveness, which is a major concept in the bible.

but god's used other things to teach me too. some things that are secular in nature even. and a hindu goddess.

the thing that stands out about christianity and that makes sense to me from experiencing life, is sin. the fact that we are inherently flawed. it's pretty darn obvious.

No, it isn't obvious at all that we are inherently flawed. All you are doing is holding up a 'pie-in-the-sky' rendition of religious morals and comparing it to the human condition. Stupidity at its finest.
