Should man rely on himself or God?

Yes, I read a book about the lore and legends of the flowers and used God, the Garden, Adam, and Eve as a literary device. It is perhaps my best epic poem. I also think I came up with a more sensible 'God', but, alas, Biblical fiction has created a monster.

The first part was only a made-up thing about God; anyone can do that, and has, even a zillion different ways.

I get out a lot, but I am retired and there always seems to be more time.

I didn't have to type it much, for it is Genesis, but with my theory of nothing put into it by using all the synonyms that I could find in the thesaurus, which is really a kind of dinosaur that the Bible didn't mention, because the writers of the fake scriptures didn't know about dinosaurs at the time.

gift of God = eternal life.''

The wage of what you call a sin here is the wonderful gift from God, namely the knowledge of good and evil that brings us closer to the ideal. God.

There is a difference.
Their souls did not return to God, and as a result, neither did their off-spring.

Yet scripture says, some have walked with God. Stick to the script.


Looks to me as the snake tricked them by not telling them what was meant by death.

That would have been God's job as he would have wanted them to know without a doubt what the consequences were. He would not leave such a vital detail to the snake. He then, in a sneaky way, did not tell them of the further negative consequences or the positive ones. A sin of omission to add to where he sins in scripture.

I see God full of deceit and jealousy when he evicted them unjustly.

The only perspective that is important is the scriptural continuity and it shoes that the death was one of the innocence of A & E.

What is the first thing they did after eating of it and having their eyes open?
That is the answer to your perspective song and dance. Stop hiding and admit it and follow the flow of the scriptures story.

I don't see the term "family tree" mentioned anywhere.
Also, I think the garden contained all sorts of fruiting trees all of which could be eaten from.
In what way was this one tree special and why isn't that mentioned?
If eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil signifies having sex with "another race of knowledgeable beings" then what does eating the fruit of the tree of life signify?
By the way, according to the story Adam and Eve were allowed to eat from the tree of live at all times (up until God caught them of course). It strikes me as particularly odd that they wouldn't have eaten from it.

That and you will note that nowhere in scripture do we moan it's lose. Why? You will also note in scripture that tree of life denote a good life, not an immortal life. If the tree of life was truly thought to be a tree of immortality then scriptures would have been crying for us for a chapter or two I am sure.

Scripture is in fact showing that knowledge is more important than living infinitely. Any with 1/2 a brain will agree.
