You know shogun, no offense but when war starts courtesy tends to be the first thing to fly out the window... Even for Japan, Russia, US, etc...

OUT OF GAME: WWI was the last war of Honor, Gentlemanship, and Respect.

There's never been a war of honor, gentlemanship, and respect. That is not even debatable, it's a simple fact.

What is respectful about sending infantry companies of 250 soldiers to charge through landmines, artillery, a hail of machine gun fire, through barbed wire, bayonets, with nothing more than luck to help them.

What is honorable about firing artillery shells that would emit poisons that would blind you, burn your skin, make your lungs feel like they are on fire, make you bleed out your eyeballs.

What is gentlemanly about a war where a sniper can headshot an enemy colonel with one shot?

There is no such thing as an honorable, gentlemanly, and respectful war.

OUT OF GAME: You should check out my thread: What was the turning point of WWI.

Macgyver posts about how they fought with a "live and let live" mentality. Some instances where British and German troops would eat lunch together. One German even saved the lives of several British soldiers.

Honor died when the Japanese resorted to Kamikaze's and Bonzai charges.

Let's not continue this here. I'll make a new thread.

nah its fine, I dont feel like debating it because I would end up using the same debate style my english teacher uses which can rip apart any argument in about one minute. And honestly that would remind me of him (one scary son of a....) and I dont feel like doing that.

OUT OF GAME: Ok. Do you know when Shogun, will be on?

We had been cruising in the waters south of Japan and had managed to sink a few destroyers and even a heavy cuiser. But now it was getting more dificult with all the sonobuoys being dropped, we had been fired at with torpedos several times but had amnaged to avoid most of the damage.

Captain Richtoffen walked over to Admiral Kohl. "Admiral." "Yes, Captain?" "An American Carrier Fleet was attacked near the Korean Penninsula." "Are you sure?" "Yes sir, we saw it's destruction." "Did you locate the Red Raven?" "Yes sir. But she outran us." "Dang. Captain, you must sink the Red Raven; at all costs. We'll deploy a Wolf Pack U-Boat group to assist you." "Jawohl Herr Admiral." "Good luck Captain." "Thank you sir." Captain Richtoffen saluted and went back to his boat.

Do you mind calling my ship maybe, the red ghost? Or the red reaper? Or just "the typhoon".

It's just that the red scre was an actual historical time period...

OUT OF GAME: I know it was, I just thought it'd be cool. You're a Russian Commie who scares the crap out of everyone. I'll edit it.

thanks, the red scare just sounds...cliched, almost like calling me "the red tide".

95% of what I know from subs came from a simulation game called "Dangerous waters", you should really get it its less than 15 dollars. The only way it could be more realistic is if you were on an actual sub. Each platform (4 subs, 2 planes, 1 ship). each platform has around 10 stations that are detailed to the very screws youd see on the real thing. Actually, just download the demo from their site, google "dangerous waters"

OUT OF GAME: I'll look it up. You gonna post, Comrade?

Out of Game: Courteous to my allies and courteous to my enemies that fought honorably. Plus it is honorable for them, the Bushido.

The Yamato Squadron is all sweating, and tired from the air assault. Masaru came up to Shogun and said,

"We do get the day off right?"

Shogun answered,

"I am not sure, hopefully we do, we sure deserve it,"

Arata then added,

"I am beat, if we don't get some I will be burnt out,"

An instructor the came up to them,

"Yamato Squadron, that was a good battle, you have given the rest of the day off,"

They all smiled, the instructor then said,

"I expect all of you at briefing room 7 at 0600 hours tomorrow morning, dismissed,"
