Ahh, another glorious morning. A rainstorm moved in overnight, but it's passed now. Lean-to kept me dry as a bone. The place is looking better now that Padma has come back to keep the place clean. Don't know what I'd do without her. It is annoying sometimes when I go to look for something and can't find it laying on the floor where I left it, but I'll adapt. I think to honor Padma's noble efforts at keeping my place sanitary, I will build her house first. Today I plan to spend the day preparing the raw logs into beams and 2x4's and such. Ordinarily, it would take several days or weeks to prepare the materials, but somehow time seems to compress in this strange village when doing such tasks. I feel I should have plenty of materials ready to begin construction tomorrow.
Padma was up before me and already had a wonderful breakfast prepared. Eggs, bacon, waffles with maple syrup, fresh-squeezed oj. And to top it all off, she even arranges it on the plate to make a happy face.
I can truly say that I am blessed. I wonder if any flowers grow nearby. I bet Padma would appreciate a gift of flowers.
Last night, I completed Sexy Blue's hammock project. Luckily, Padma brought back some bolts of cloth with her from her recent travels. She didn't seem to eager to allow me to use her cloth for a gift to Sexy Blue though. I wonder if she's still jealous? In the end she allowed me the use of her least valued cloth. I hope Sexy Blue likes Spiderman.
I take the hammock with me down to the pool for my morning ablution. I ask Padma if she'd care to join me. She says she still has some things to do around the lean-to and will most likely come down later. Sexy Blue is in her usual spot. Baking in the sun. Her feet becoming bluer and sexier every day. I wonder if she's ever heard of the dangers of uv light? I don't see any suspicious moles on her, so all is well so far. But perhaps when I get around to making soap and aspirin and such, I could find a way to make some sun block for her. The least I could do.
I present Sexy Blue with the hammock I have so lovingly constructed and she gasps in delight. "Oh thank you, thank you," she exclaims, leaping in delight. "My pleasure, m'lady," I reply humbly.
I modestly go behind some bushes to remove my clothes (although what I have left to hide I don't know after running around naked all day yesterday.
) and dive into the pool. Ahh, nothing finer than to be in Scivillage on a glorious day such as this.
I thought I saw the outcast peeking out from the woody fringe. I wonder if he's looking at me or Sexy Blue. I hope the latter as I don't swing that way. I wonder why he doesn't just come out and join us. I have heard that he makes the best pottery in town. I'll surely have need of artwork for my and Padma's house once they are done. I could also use a vase to put the flowers I intend to gather for Padma. Hopefully he has something tasteful.
