coming out of whatever we'd entered into I was thrown into the side of the co-pit as the fighter hit something. however though being unable to get to the control panel because the inertia compensator was knocked out and we were spinning towards a planet which oddly looked like earth. before I could fix the craft we hit the atmosphere throwing me into the other side of the copit. The craft stopped spinning but as I grabbed the control wheel the nose broke off hitting the window and knocking me out.
out of game: I'm over earth and I hit your ship kittamaru.
OOC - er, lol... alrighty then
On Board the USS Noble:
Commander Bradley strides onto the bridge from the turbolift, having been summoned by the duty watch.
"Sir, a small ship just crashed into us", stated Lieutenant Sato
"Is there any damage Lieutenant?" Bradley asked, his eyes still blurred from sleep.
"Negative sir - all systems function normal... though the other craft has impacted the atmosphere - it looks as though it is out of control."
"Aye sir" replied Lieutenant Scott, "Though we risk killing the pilot - it seems as though his inertial compensators have been knocked out. We'll have to beam him out first."
Commander Bradley ponderd this a moment - beaming an unknown person aboard the ship at this time did bring about its own problems, especially if the pilot became unsettled waking in an unfamiliar environment. He turned to the chief engineer and nodded - he trusted the young Lieutenant's judgment. "Alright, beam him directly to sick bay and then recover his ship - tractor it into fighter bay one." he tapped his comm badge "Dr. Dramiel, please be aware that we are beaming one to your sick bay - he is unconscious but appears mostly unharmed."
Jason Scott "Anderson", as the engineer had come to be known to the crew, quickly relayed the information to the transporter chief, who beamed the man off his stricken ship. Grappling the falling fighter with the tractor beam, he slowed, and gradually reversed, its descent, pulling it into the fighter bay with a trained precision he was known for.
Back on the planet:
The stun bursts do their work with ruthless efficiency, shutting down virtually every electronic function of the nanosuits, including their stealth camo, speed, and strength functions. Virtually anything that relied on a stored electrical charge was no offline.
"Brackis, Henderson, now!" Ryan called into the comms relay, as she and Aaron broke cover. The four of them started pouring Phaser fire into the now visible soldiers. Blasts from energy and projectile weapons splay against their shields as the soldiers fire where they see our weapons discharge - Henderson takes a particularly large barrage and drops to the ground, his shields buckled.
"Henderson, report!"
"I'm fine sir - my shields are shredded but my armor held... damn that hurt though." he mutters, coming up to one knee and continuing to fire.
Rapid bursts from their compression rifles lay several of them down, stunned and out cold. The one carrying Lewis drops, and with Lewis rolling rather unceremoniously to a stop in a nearby hedge. Mavericks captor, however, seems to have gotten away, along with the rest of the team.
"Mazz, concussion blast - try to drop it on Mavericks position"
"... Y-y-yes sir..." she fumbles with the weapon, then fires - the quantum warhead arcs overhead, overshooting it's target by nearly a fifty meters before impacting the ground - a thunderous roar is heard as the detonator implodes, gouging a five meter crater in the ground
"MAZZ, that isn't the concussion setting!" Aaron gasps, knowing that had that shot hit home, Maverick and the soldiers would have instantly been vaporized.
"S... sir... I'm sorry ..." Mazz murmurs before passing out.
"Mazz... MAZZ?!" Aaron hoists Dr. Lewis over his back, the grunting slightly under the weight of the Lyran man. "Mazz, are you alright?"
"She's just fainted sir" comes Henderson's reply "It seems her shields didn't quite stop that blow like she thought... she has a nasty bruise on her head, but she should be fine"
"Okay... regroup behind that ridge... we might need some more firepower down here. Ryan, contact the Noble... get another squad of your finest down here double time."
"Aye, sir" Commander Ryan grinned - this was the most fun she'd had in years.
Aaron turned to the downed soldiers
"Take one of them with us... Henderson, disable any tracking devices his suit has..." Aaron said, pulling from his hip a length of high-tensile tritanium bindings. Slapping the cuffs over the mans wrists and ankles, he activates the pulse generators, forming a virtually unbreakable tractor link between the cuffs. Hendersons scan come up empty - any tracking links seem to have been fried by the emp blasts, so he hoists the man over his shoulder and the group heads back to the ridge.
