Sciforums Fleet

"Delta 5 have been attacked, Uniform 2 and 7 reinforce Uniform 5, 8 and 9 who are already on the scene, Rifle 2-1, sweep the area with your rifle, hold your fire and upload the view to my HUD," The ESSCPA CO, codename Juliet 2-2 ordered,

He then turned and said relatively calmly to his XO,

"Remind me why we used the communications systems left over by the Recon Marines here....."

It was a figure of speech, they never forgot anything....

"Most of ours got destroyed in cave collapses during a major earthquake, the ones we had left are the intergalactic communications equipment, then we found the Recon Marines' equipment during and expedition......"

Both knew it, but it was something to say in absence of words.....

Then when the image showed up on his HUD, he knew who his opponents were, then he ordered, "All nearby riflemen prepare for execution orders, fire on my mark, relay all views to mine and the Juliet 2-1's HUD, Uniforms 5, 8 and 9, you can make your presence known, use caution and safety off,"

The Uniforms stepped out with their carbines aimed, Uniform 2 and 7 are completely hidden with their assault rifles aimed an ready to fire. They are completely blended in, no thermal signature, smell, silhouette, sound .etc not even a identifiable atmospheric pressure difference. Uniform 2 then said,

"I believe it is you who is to drop and surrender, what do you want?!"

If anything happened, that bastard will have his head popped off, he knew that he won't let himself be captured, he will die before that, and he knew that his comrades, not just the ones beside him, the entire ESSCPA Special Operations Command, every single super soldier across the galaxy will avenge him, and he won't be left behind.

OOC: Just how many of them are there? And no offense, but the whole "completely blended in" is a tad over the top.

"Where is shogun?" I yelled.

One of the corporals grabbed the prisoner and held him up.

"We have something for him" I yelled and tossed a chip with a recording from zero into the underbrush where I knew they were.

We then grabbed the guy we captured, turned invisible, and got away, if they wanted to make contact they had a way to contact us on the chip. They won't be following us if we don't want it, the ship at the camp sight was turned off so there was no signature, and the cloaks on the suit can't be detected with the sensor array on a battleship if we were right in front of it, let alone any of the old gear these fellows had.

The hard decision is whether to keep this guy or throw him away.

Out of Game: Its called scifi buddy, you have cloak.

"Leave him, a sign of good will," the lieutenant, which is the CO ordered,

"But sir, we never..."

"Leave anyone behind, I know, but at least we know they aren't here for the bounty, if anything happened to him, there will be hell to pay," he said, he then continued, "Uniform 2 bring back the chip,"

The XO the said,

"Sir, it seems they are pretty confidant that the Admiral is here,"

"Not their fault, almost no intel about us, the only intel about us are from the few missions during the Holian War, we pretty much kept to ourselves the entire time, I speculate that they detected our communications and suspected he was here......We won't encrypt our message to Shogun....at least not our encryption, waste of effort and there is no need to, they are here because they need us," he rubbed his eyes and then said, "they are alright....for ground commandos,"
it was actually a generous compliment, Super Soldiers rarely handed those out, especially for ground commandos.

Juliet 21 ( the XO ) said,

"We can't track them sir, they disappeared completely, almost off the face of this planet it seems,"

Juliet 22 ( the CO ) then replied,

"They are 3rd platoon, of 54th Recon of I Corps, I know their style from what I heard and read and this is it, I would even concede that they are the best ground terrain commandos in the Terran Alliance, their people are naturals in what they do, they recruit people from nomads, that have done such for ages, we can't train is simulators for that kind of fighting, we need time and experience.......which we don't have," he then said thoughtfully, "Them in wild, untamed terrain.....its like us in space, atmospheric and urban environments,"

"I hear you sir,"

22 then said "Get me Admiral Shogun on the line, immediately, standard Terran Alliance Marines encryption,"

Shogun had turned the enemy fleet away quickly, in fact right after the third shot, which crippled an enemy ship. Shogun knew that it was their command ship....but he didn't expect them to retreat that quickly.....it wasn't their biggest ship....in fact all of their ships were the same damn size, the only way to determine its role is by the slightest fleet movements. He knew they would be back....only a matter of time. He then said, "It is time to enforce our newest amendment, we are Super Soldiers, not knights, we won't operate with honor anymore.....it restricts us too much....also our rules of engagement will be drastically changed.....so that it won't hinder our operations,"

His attitude and that of many others have been changed since the coup, they became less......not less honorable, but that was a part that changed......they were less.......aristocratic. Their training regime haven't changed.....they were taught how to fight dirty, very dirty....they just don't do it, but now they will do anything to win. Exile changes people.

"Yes sir," Captain Minamoto acknowledged, "I will pass the word to the others,"

A ensign then came and said,

"Admiral, a call for you,"

"From who?"

"Lieutenant Houston sir, he said it was important, and he put it on Standard Terran Alliance Marines encryption,"

Shogun knew instantly what was happening.

He can't believe he was a prisoner......he is a super soldier, he is expected to be able to fight even with all his limbs chopped off. He is expected to fight until his last breath and do so effectively, however he knew he should not....his brothers ( fellow Super Soldiers ) didn't come after him, and he knew exactly why and he understood. He will remain low profile and be a good prisoner.

Tiberius had woken up from his dream. It seemed there never was an SSS Endeavour. Or maybe there was. He didn't know, and he didn't care. He flipped on his holotelevision.

"In recent news, SSS Aggressor and SSS Gargantuan have beaten back the ISC Homespace Defense Force to their own galaxy. Victory in this war seems more likely than it does with the Holians."

"Ah, who cares?" Tiberius took a swig of rum and sat up.

No messages. Dang. Not a soul had called him since the SSS Furion was decommissioned.

"No missions, no stories, not even a misdialed call. Pretty friggin lonely."

His thoughts then dwelled on Aki, and Tifa. But that was in the past. Just drink it down.

OOC: Oh come on shogun, that's not fair. The only reason I mentioned the cloak and what not is because you said your guys could blend in perfectly. So I said that my guys snuck away and can't be tracked, yet you say otherwise. That's not really fair, especially because these guys are literally born for terrain supremecy, super soldiers can't actually mean they are better in every way. At least concede to something shogun, its honestly not fun to continue this story when every time you try something the other guy claims that they are automatically better.

HAHAH I wanted to see how you react ;) I will change it.

out of game: Alright I'll just join in now. Hey omega you remember that Orion class battle cruiser concept art I gave you could you by any chance post that on for me so that everyone knows what my ship looks like? (I drew it myself)

in game: We ducked as allied fighters flew in and decimated the enemys with bombs. As soon as the fighters flew past I dragged the soilder to his feet and pulled him into the dust towards the fighter. The dust was gritty and hurt my eyes but we pressed frward arriving at the fighter just as the dust cleared. The few remaining soilders started fireing our direction. Jumping into thhe copit I triggered a burst of shots at them scattering them. Pulling up the soilder I was with into the copit with me I closed the window over us and looked at the controls.

However the controls were in an alien languege. Hitting a blue buttton I hoped was the engine start button I sighed as it lifted into the air with a whine. Grabbing the blocky wheel like thing in front of me I pulled back which sent the ship careening up into the air. within moments I was in space and pulling for safty. However a shot from a nearby ship blasted me into a control panel on the side and a purple light began to flash. next thing I knew the ship and me vanished in a ball of reddish greenish light.

Sounds good to me Fedr :) Did you send out a broadcast?

No, some guys I sent after shogun are trying to track him down.

How do you want to enter? I'm at I corps military base in a Sheng Shi Basin (I literally just made that name up, but its supposed to be somewhere in China, its not really road accessible but its flat enough for a rather large airfield).

If you wanted to join the mission I'm setting up that is where you'd find my main character who is colonel zero.

OOC: Thanks

"Good work sergeant" the lieutenant said

"Aye sir, we know where they are." I said

"Good, and I see you brought company" the lieutenant said

"Yah, tried to jump us, didn't work out so well for him." I said gesturing to the tied up super soldier, we used steel cabling just in case.

"Okay, weve got the other three squads on the cardinal points 10 miles from their positions." the lieutenant said

The other eight members of my squad were here as well, we set up a slightly larger camp with the extra supplies. When we found what we were looking for everyone flocked to the area, staying outside of detection range but close enough to keep an eye on things.

"So now what?" I asked

"Now we wait" the lieutenant said.

OOC - up to you mate - I sent out a general broadcast on all known frequencies in all known languages - if you want me to join in, just hit the "reply" button ;)

Captain Aaron Ayante, in the starship Noble, exits Quantum Slipstream just outside of Pluto - long range scanners lash out on all frequencies, lighting the ship up like a beacon, but also giving him detailed scans of the happenings in the sector.

"My God... what happened here..." he whispers, awestruck at the scene before him.

"Lieutenant Sato, send out a priority one message to all ships in the area - inform them that we are here to offer assistance as needed."

"Aye Captain", the young Lieutenant, Himiko Sato, replies. Her family has been a member of Starfleet for generations, hailing back to Hoshi Sato on the NX-01 - he mused at the fact that a family would choose this life for so long, but quickly brought his mind back to the task at hand.

"All hands, yellow alert" he calls.

"Shields up, charge the primary phaser banks and bring the emitters to hot standby. Load quantum torpedo pre-loaders and disengage the safety protocols, this is NOT A DRILL. All hands to duty stations, I repeat - this is not a drill!" his XO, Commander Malcolm Bradley relayed the appropriate orders with the efficiency and command Aaron had come to expect of the young man.

"Once more, into the breach we go..." Aaron muttered.

OOC - there's my intro, let me know who's still around :D

*rebump*

OOC: ummm, but I'm nowhere near there, Im on earth, and actually Im a commander of ground forces, not really space forces...

"Sir, there's a message from the Noble." the major said

"Huh, she's new isn't she? I haven't heard of a Noble before." I said

"Apparently" he said

"Well, its just a general hail, reporting that they are giving assistance to ships in the area." he said

"Too bad, all our ships are in space docks here and won't be lifting off anytime soon." I said

"Yes sir
