Reality as God

I don't consider it distinct. I consider reality to not only be matter and energy, but information as well. Like the laws of Physics and the phenomenon that partake in those laws. As well as the information contained in a mind.
So other than saying that reality is all, is everything, what exactly is the purpose of considering it "God"?
And how is the claim you are making different from any other form of pantheistic belief, other than in pseudo-scientific explanations in an attempt to provide some credibility?

There is a purpose for some people, and not for others.
The difference lies in individual consciousness.

I know some people have a purpose behind labelling it as "God", and I would not for one moment think that it might be an objective purpose (given that I have no such purpose). I am wondering what that purpose might be for an individual who feels the need to label reality as "God".

I can't speak for those who feel the ''need'', nor do I anyone who fits that. But the purpose one might conclude that God is reality can range from experience, scriptures, observing the sciences, common sense, etc... Or even be combinations of those, and other things.
In short, who knows.

So your response to a question I ask of someone who does see Reality as God (if indeed they follow Langan's thinking) as to what the purpose is of referring to reality as God is to say "well, some people do have a purpose... but who knows what it is"?
Gee, thanks for that pearl of wisdom.

I wasn't referring to Langan's thinking., Who knows why he thinks the way he does?

All living beings perceive reality in some way, and I doubt any two beings think exactly the same thing.
Thinking reality to be God, is another perception.

I know of several ppl who live in a state of illusion, if anyone confronts them with reality, they get angry and offended.
(this I have seen from women who have been in a long time marriage)

Simply because there is a realistic God in existence and it is Truth.

What do you mean by virtue ruling order and anything but one? Are you saying there's more than one God?

God is one man or what does mean? The rest are angels. It's a virtue. And the highest of the ordered, anything but God isn't passive. To have him serve first would be a tragedy.
