Quotes to remember

''Understanding others doesn't mean that you have to necessarily agree with their point of view or feelings. Instead, it means you recognise their point of view and accept that it's different than yours.'' - Debayan Ghosh

“When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, 'Damn, that was fun'.”
― Groucho Marx

I don't know if this quote has been posted in this thread before but it freaked and changed the world...

And it looks like Oppenheimer was quoting someone else in history.

“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy.”

“I am a collector of notes upon subjects that have diversity — such as deviations from concentricity in the lunar crater Copernicus, and a sudden appearance of purple Englishmen — stationary meteor-radiants, and a reported growth of hair on the bald head of a mummy — and 'Did the girl swallow the octopus?”
― Charles Fort, Wild Talents

“Do stuff. be clenched, curious. Not waiting for inspiration's shove or society's kiss on your forehead. Pay attention. It's all about paying attention. attention is vitality. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. stay eager.”

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day, listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time." - John Lubbock

“The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning. The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless, and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much color.”
― Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting

Maybe we shouldn’t (or maybe we should?) judge Jung based on today’s set of standards, but he seemed pretty misogynistic. So, not really a fan. That said, I like this plucked quote, though.

“You can’t find peace by avoiding life.” - Virginia Woolf
