Osama Bin Laden is Dead

So the only pic here that looks any different is number 3, and that only really looks like he put on some weight. You should get your eyes checked.

So he put on and then lost that weight in a month's time.

That's also the "confession" video which several sources say was purposely and craftily mistranslated.

I don't know yet, I only came across her while googling Osama's US connections.

But yeah I am curious too, protecting the Saudis from what?

Good question which is why I'm hoping she's working on a book:D

Look, I'm not here to pretend that the US government doesn't engage in nefarious f**cked up shit, I'm just saying we have to look carefully at what's going on and not jump to hasty conclusions nor fail to change our view of events.

You know I blame most if not all of the proliferation of 'government conspiracy theories' on the press. Why? Because they failed in the run-up to the war to such a degree that they were not willing to dig deep enough and ask enough questions. I think the main reason for this had to do with corporate media linked to government influences which wanted the full-scale war. People lost so much confidence in the role of the press and then because of governmental lies faith shattered. This 'free' press had failed them and many who work as serious journalists readily admit this. Sad. What's even sadder is this truth allowed anyone with an alternative opinion to mask as journalists, Alex Jones is a good example of such. A little bit of truth and doubt mixed with wild insinuations. Everyone is now open to manipulation because their bloody good-sense has been corrupted by fear and too-strange and suddenly changing times. I understand it. As Tiassa pointed out in a previous post americans are frightened. They are also stressed out, economically compromised and losing confidence in their institutions. It leaves them open to almost anything.

I'm surprised the media was so silent on her depositions

I am endlessly shocked by the Media. I get nothing but fluff from TV in the USA. I have 200 channels on my Uverse system and there is almost zero news of substance and almost zero intellectual substance. But this can't be a conspircay can it? I am guessing that my fellow Americans just don't want to think but I have a hard time believing their are not enough thinkers to have one intelligent channel out of 200.

The Sibel Edmunds seems like a very significant story to me so why am I hearing it first from you SAM rather than from my TV?

I still can't believe the idiocy of humans. Even my own idiocy is shocking. What the hell is wrong with people? One moment they appear to be able to think and the next moment their semi-deliberate stupidity is just staggeringly huge.

Why is Sibel Edmunds ignored? It makes no sense.

I'm in the USA right now and I am getting more than fluff so if you see only fluff its because you aren't looking hard enough. I get Democracy Now, I get BBC Worldwide service, I get Al Jazeera, Link TV and most everything else. The fault is yours dear.

Why did they have to dispose of Bin Laden's corpse so quickly?
American sensibility to the Muslim faith?
Has there ever been another assassination where the killers took the body with them?
And took all the witnesses too?
One possibility occurs to me.
The body had been mutilated.

The problem is bigger and older than that. There is blatant corruption in all parts of the US government but for some reason the media can't confront it.

On a micro level I know a big beautiful paved highway in a national forest that has no traffic and was just built for the construction contract. On a larger level Gulf Tonkin incident was a hoax and the media failed. The USS Liberty sailors still want an explanation. The FDA is controlled by the pharmaceutical industry and US tax dollars pay for pharmaceutical research then is given to private corporations for private profits while Americans are forced to prices for medicine that are much higher than anywhere else n the world. Ridiculous ag subsidies to corporate farmers. An SEC that allows financial crime seven after they get tipped off. And more and more and more.

Then their is JFK.

And there is the history of Amercan intervention in support of creating bad dictatorships n so many nations. American support for Indonesia's invasion of East Timor and on and on. The idealism of the Amercan people has never controlled American foreign policy.

Back when Mark Twain opposed the US conquest of the Philippines it seems that the US had an open debate about whether to support imperialism. At the end of World War Two the US propaganda was celebrating the ethical superiority of the USA in contrast to Hitler and Stalin but this meant that the US foreign policy had to become a secret foreign policy that the America people should never know about because they would be offended by the hypocrisy of proclaiming the USA as the champion of ethics and freedom while at the same time for various reasons supporting tyrants in country after country decade after decade.

I takes decades for the truth to come out and sometimes it never comes out. By the time the truth does come out it is history and very few voters pay attention to history.

They didn't want his grave to become a shrine which makes complete sense.

What comes next in my opinion can't be good.
People need to put their flags away and stop patting themselves on the back.
We're only being "primed" by the media for the next disaster.

War on Pakistan?
Osama's death has certainly brought out the tin foil hat brigade in force.

They are rather amusing, I must say.

You're amusing.

Indeed, they are going apeshit trying their best to interpret this event in an anti-American way. An enemy attacked us and 8 years later we killed their leader. Is this so hard to understand?

Your single-minded determination is rather cute. What are you doing later?:shy:

Complete corruption? Show evidence. How do you know this if its not reported by the media?

What about JFK?

How do you know voters don't pay attention to history? Have you done a poll? I love Mark Twain and believe he would believe Bin Laden is dead because of a US SEAL invasion. Can you prove otherwise?

Surely you're not one of the sheeple who believes that Elvis is dead?

The King lives on in pancakes and sweat stains in the trailer parks of America. Kinda like how people in third world countries magically find the Virgin Mary everywhere.

His grave wouldn't have become a shrine.
Sunni Muslims don't have shrines.
Sunni fanatics are quite fond of bombing them.
I don't think that they even mark burial sites.

I probably should learn to use the computer for TV. I moved and no longer get Democracy now on radio. Comcast had Democracy now. I don't think Uverse does even if I go up to 400 channels. I think I can get Al Jazeera if I buy their international package.

I thought I would use the Internet and not use the TV but when I am overworked and tired TV seems easier.

Ms. Lucy Liu, semi-famous actress:

Those channels you mention aren't exactly standard packages for every television viewer.

I thought I would use the Internet and not use the TV but when I am overworked and tired TV seems easier.

TV over internet, always been interested in that. Tell me what scheme you would use.

Where is the wounded wife?

If she was a verifiably real person and if she would tell the media what happened then the conspiracy theory aspect of this event would be over.

Possibly a reaction to steroids.
It's called, non medical term, Moon face.
Largely disappears as the body gets used to the drug.

When I was in Saudi Arabia I could watch all the channels I wanted on cable, at that time we got both Saudi television and al Jazeera [arabic] in Mumbai as well. When I moved to the US, I was completely cut off from all Asian and Arab media channels on cable - luckily I discovered livestation here on sciforums and was able to at least access a few of the Arab channels [including al Jazeera English which was a fledgling at the time]. Now when I moved back to India I found that all the ME channels have been taken off cable, so I still go on to livestation for my daily fix.

If you think about it, information control is so insidious - unless you travel you have no idea how limited your access can be

Where is the wounded wife?

In Pakistani custody.

'Three women and nine children found in the house after the raid are also in the custody of the intelligence services, Pakistani security officials said. At least two are related to Bin Laden, one security official said: a 12- or 13-year-old daughter and his wife, who was shot in the leg but has received hospital care and is out of danger. He spoke on the condition of anonymity in accordance with the rules of his agency.'

Why would you ask the question? What didn't you check the news? If you had checked you would have found the information and not behave as if it was a mystery.
